Woman sues WAG
"I honestly couldn't speak. I was trembling." Gee, I wonder what gave the employees the idea she was a little off.

I agree, I think most of the time the musical numbers seem out of place and kind of goofy. I love Moulin Rogue, . The musical numbers actually tell the story. The vision and the attention to detail in that film is amazing, to actually make it come to life on film is astonishing.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) I don't want noone touchin my beer. Damn right I'm bringing it. Someone here was telling a story about being in a bathroom at a concert and holding his beer. Half our office went "Ewww", the rest of us where like "what's the problem"?

Guillen says Anderson is worthy of CF job
QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 03:18 PM) I think he will be better in the field after a short adjustment period. Wait, better than Rowand or better than he'll be at the start of the season?

QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 12:46 PM) I saw 'two for the money' last night, it was pretty entertaining. Yeah, it's ok. Did you watch the extras that come with the DVD? The guy the film is based on has a lot of interesting things to say about sports gambling.

QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) i wanna see it. I love woody allen. It was playing at our local mom and pop cinema for like all of february and i still missed it. Because i'm an idiot. It's a very UN-Woody Allen like film, but worth the time and loot.

Guillen says Anderson is worthy of CF job
QUOTE(Wedge @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 11:11 AM) I don't give a damn about Anderson's hitting, the important question is can he come close to replacing Rowand's CF defense? Exactly, his bat just has to be decent and he doesn't have to be spectacular on D, just not hurt us.

Oscar's Thread.
Hotel Rwanda could have replaced The Aviator or Finding Neverland....although Sideways is still better than all three and Million Dollar Baby is better than all four.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) I like them, but I admit I don't get a lot of the local vernacular in the lyrics. but that is supposed to be one of the things that is making them really click with the local UK fans. Possibly, but for me lyrics are the last thing I listen for.

QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 11:37 PM) Stewart did a nice job as the host and i thought it was funny how they said three 6 mafias real and nicknames when they announced them. I think he thought the whole awarding the mafia thing was ridiculous. His best line was: As of right now, Martin Scorsese, ZERO Oscars, Mafia ONE.- Bobby Jenks' entrance music

Finally saw 'Match Point" last night. I loved it, but probably because one of my favorite sayings is: "it's better to be lucky than good" and the film is all about luck. Scarlett J. is incredibly sexy in it, but the more I see her, the more I realize she's just above average as an actress. I thought the supporting actor and actress should have played the leads, but I guess they weren't pretty enough.- Bobby Jenks' entrance music

You guys might think she's awful, but the guy in the white tank dancing with her seems to dig her.- Oscar's Thread.
QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 04:38 PM) i thought giving 36 mafia that award was kind of giving a nod to the entire movie of Hustle and Flow Probably the most overrated film, after Crash.- music
QUOTE(bmags @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 06:15 PM) no. Sound pretty similar to everything else coming from britain. The middle of their album is just boring tripe but the first and last 3 songs are pretty good. I mean they are young and have a chance but i have no idea why britain is peeing their pants over these kids. I finally heard these guys and I totally agree with your assesment. Decent start for 19 year olds, but time will tell. I enjoy Bloc Party SO much more. They'll be on SNL next Saturday if anyone cares to hear the band with like the third best (I think) selling debut record in the history of the UK.- Oscar's Thread.
QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 01:10 PM) I like hip-hop music sometimes. I liked "Lose Yourself" quite a bit, but that 3-6 Mafia song sucked. The "Crash" lady was ripped off. I lost the one small amount of respect I had for the Oscars when they awarded 'It's hard out here for a pimp" best song. You know it's hard out here for a pimp When he tryin to get this money for the rent For the Cadillacs and gas money spent Because a whole lot of b****es talkin s*** Will have a whole lot of b****es talkin s*** Deep- NOT guilty in rape trial
The prosecution must have blown it. That's the only way you can explain having it on videotape and STILL losing the trial. I know people get emotional about these kinds of verdicts and rightfully so, but a lot of innocent people get locked up every day and guitly people walk free every day. A trial by a jury of your peers is still the best system of justice.- Oscar's Thread.
A few thoughts: The Oscars are funny. Crash is the worst film of all the ones nominated. Every year it seems I ask myself this: How does a film (Crash) win for 'best movie' but the director doeesn't win 'best director'? How do you give someone the 'best director' award but not award the film (BBM) 'best movie?' "Mr. Lee we understand that you are responsible for every frame of this film and felt your directing was brilliant, we just didn't really enjoy the film that much overall".- Catch-All Anything Thread
