Anyone hear Bruce Levine's latest update. He said Ken Griffey Jr. is not on the White Sox YET, and that he expects it to happen. Edit by Show: Created a new thread to make it easier for folks to catch up.

I don't know how 'speed' would improve your baseball skills. I can see it helping in football, where there is more reckless abandon. I remember Brian Bozworth wrote that he'd take a handfull of 'no doze' before the game and more at halftime. Baseball, especially hitting, is more about muscle control and timing, so I don't see how being 'wired' would help.

My prediction is the same I made or the Bankee series: If the Sox win today, they'll take the series tomorrow. Book it.

I hear ya. It's funny how much money people will pay for tix. Why the eff is anyone paying $1,000 to see a concert? Apparently, a lot of people do, because good seats to shows are never empty. It's not even an issue of having the money, it's just not worth it. I can't think of any band that I'd pay more than $100 to see... and that would have to be for one of my favorite bands in a damn good seat.

I've been wanting to check out that venue, but no one I like is ever there. I knew someone who was selling 4 tix to Coldplay at Alpine yesterday. If anyone wants them I can ask.

Bottom line about Ozzies' situation is this, none of us know why he said those things to his friend. Is it possible that he's homophoic? I guess so, yes. But how about this, maybe his friend has had a lot of gfs or wives, so calling him a homosexual is funny because it's far from the truth. Maybe his friend is a great father, so calling him a molester is funny because it's far from the truth. Maybe at some point, there were rumors about those things being true and Ozzie was just teasing him about it. We don't know. It was an inside joke he said to is friend on his own turf. Finally, I would guess Morissey has probably often times heard black players use the "N" word when speaking to one another. I'm sure he's gotten on his soap box then too.
