QUOTE(Da Sox @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) Does Ozzie's use of the bullpen piss anyone else off but me? Even though the matchup might be tough, Poliette was in a rythm, while he brings Marte out against the 2 best hitters on the team without him seeing batters yet. 10 bucks say that if hermanson finishes this inning and gets an out in the next inning Shingo's going to close... for No reason. I always say go with the hot hand, f*** the matchups. -

QUOTE(fathom @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) And that's why Cliff deserves the role of being our righty set-up man if Hermanson is our closer. I agree 100%, Politte has been awesome, besides Hermy, right now, I have the most confidence in Cliff. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Does anyone not hate him? I really, really do hate that guy. Why not Anderson? Why not even Giambi? He always has a high OBP. I don't hate him, the guy rides the bench and he's come through sometimes and sometimes he doesn't. I don't expect anything diff, from a bench guy. . -

QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 11, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) So: Fri - Garcia vs. Zambrano Sat - Count vs. Maddux Sun - Duque vs. Prior I was really hoping for a Maddux vs. Duque matchup, that would be one hell of a game. But I like what we got. I don't like it.

QUOTE(mreye @ May 11, 2005 -> 05:38 PM) They may still call it a sell out, though. Oh I'm sure if you ask the Cubs, of course they call it a sell out. To me, if I am still able to get a ticket, any ticket to an event, it's not sold out, right?
-
Contrary to popular belief, most Cub games do NOT sell out. They come close, but just like a lot of places, they don't sell the upper deck corners very well, plus they have SRO tix. If every seat, PLUS SRO is sold, then it's a sell out. Very rarely happens. Trust me, I'm surrounded by die hard Cub fans.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ May 11, 2005 -> 05:09 PM) I live in STickney (near Midway, Berwyn, Cicero, Lyons,Riverside) and I was born on July 4th, 1976 (28), hence the tonyho7476. I grew up in Hillside Il, and went to st. Domitilla in Hillside for gradeschool, Nazareth Academy in LaGrange Park for High School, and Marquette University for college. What else you want to know? My credit card info? Yeah, tell us Tony, was it difficult growing up with the name Ho?

QUOTE(YASNY @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) We are talking national security here. That's EXACTLY what they should do if the believe there is a credible threat ... moron pilot or not. I agree, I'm surprised it didn't get 'brought' down.

QUOTE(sec159row2 @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) on the back of your hand LaSalle is not just one block. I meant LaSalle and what cross street? Geez. :finger It must be the LaSalle and Van Buren station. So walk 3 blocks East to State street, then 1 block North to Jackson, go down into the subway and catch the NORTH bound red line to Addison.
-
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 11, 2005 -> 04:02 PM) so take the metra to the LaSalle St. Station and then we can transfer to the red line from there? Yes, remember the red line has subway stations once you get downtown. You might have to walk a few blocks to get to it. Where exactly is that Metra LaSalle station?
-
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) south suburbs well, if Midway is closest, then do what I said. However, you can catch the red line all along the Dan Ryan on the southside and it will take to you the Addison stop and you won't need to transfer. If there is a Metra train near you that gets you downtown, do that and then catch the red line from downtown to Addison. I know the trains like my hand, need more detailed help? let me know.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) Hey guys, my mom got tickets to the friday sox-cubs game next week, but we have a problem. Neither of us have ever been to wrigley. I'm no good with the whole red line blue line whatever color line stuff, so i need your help. I heard if we go to midway, we can take something to the red line........ Thanks guys. Where are you comign from? If it's Midway, then yes, catch the orange line downtown and swith to the red line that lets you off at the Addison stop.
-
QUOTE(rangercal @ May 11, 2005 -> 03:04 PM) :banghead you're right. its the wrigley part that threw me off you must mean on Addison, 2 miles west of Wrigley.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:48 PM) Yes, 1:15 start... and probably the last game without the Hawkeroo. Damn, was looking forward to plopping on the couch and watching tonight. Oh well, -
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 11, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) Probably because they want him to stay starting down at Charlotte. It's not like we need another Neal Cotts situation again. Also he's still not that ready yet (Cheat said 1.5 HR's given up per start) so he's still got some small things to work on. Also you waste another option, and start the arbitration process earlier, so there are a lot of factors to consider. I see, good points, so Walker is our best option, wow.
