  1. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 20, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) Just wanted to get someone who lives in the area's take on the best way to get to the game on Sunday. I've heard parking around the Piss Hole is horrendous. Where's the best place to park and then ride the train in. Also, for anyone who may know, what is the traffic situation in the northern part of Indiana. Heard they are doing a lot of construction up that way, and if so, what's the best way to get through that part of the commute as I am driving a long way up there. DO NOT DRIVE! Traffic will be a nightmare. As someone else said, park along the red line on the south side and jump on the red line.
  2. My top two very routine, very simple extractions, no pain at all. I still have my bottom two and they erae totally impacted. My dentitst cannot believe I've never had any pain. He keeps telling me to have them done and not wait until it's life or death.
  3. How'd Borowski do today? I get a feeling he will play a big part later in the series.
  4. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 20, 2005 -> 05:40 PM) Pods Gooch Rowand Konerko AJ Dye Uribe Crede Garcia Hairston Hollandsworth Lee Burnitz Ramirez Patterson Perez Blanco Maddux I like it, like Aaron betwen Palsy and Death.
  5. QUOTE(mrzo2733 @ May 20, 2005 -> 05:34 PM) I think everything is in line for Garcia to have a great game. Day game, wind in, and no DH- a nice break to get him on track. I feel good. ......but he needs to reach down and remember he has a set and ATTACK hitters, not fluff around. That's the key for him.
  6. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 20, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) Joe Borowski is activated for this game. Michael Barrett has a bad shoulder and will probably not play in this entire series. Henry Blanco will probably catch all 3 games. Barrett will only be available as an emergency catcher. Figures about Jo Bo, they weren't gonna go without a closer......and they say they don't care about this series. HA!
  7. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 20, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) The Comcast chick just reported that the Sox players shagging balls in the outfield are currently mocking Sosa's signature salute and the fans in the RF bleachers are booing them. AWESOME.
  8. QUOTE(Allsox @ May 20, 2005 -> 05:04 PM) The Score just reported Michael Barrett has a sore shoulder and Henry Blanco will prolly start all 3 games....I remember Blanco killing the Sox last yr as a Twin and is a good defensive catcher so I hope the Sox pitching staff doesn't ignore this guy and let him get going he has a very good arm IIRC. wait, didn't he homer off of us last year?
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 20, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) Bulls***. This ain't Mickey Mantle we are talking about. The Sox don't cower to anyone. Smart baseball, yes. Pitching around someone every time at bat. Hell no. yeah, OK. I think that's our strategy against Hunter and Sweeney too, isn't it? Anyone watching BP?....is the wind blowing in hard?
  10. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 20, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) Freddie needs to pick his spots to challenge Lee. There should be absolutley NO challenging of Lee this series......unless at some point we have a huge lead (which I doubt) and no one is on base.
  11. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 20, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) Scott Podsednik vs. Cubs (career stats) 31 Games 120 AB .292 AVG .356 OBP .417 SLG .773 OPS 2 HR 6 RBI 14 SB 4 CS 21 R 12 BB 29 K I'll take it. Thx Jabs.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 20, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) I think I saw 9 steals in 17 games... don't know how he has hit though. If I'm not mistaken, their starters don't give up many walks (could be wrong) so he'll have to hit to get on.
  13. I think we'll see one extreme or the other from Fat Boy. He'll be pumped and anxious to show that his arm is ok, hopefully he's overly emotional and wild. Question? How has Pods done on the bases against the Scrubs?
  14. Rowand=my new favorite Sox player. It's about time someone had the balls to say that about him! Two good years and the guy thinks he's frickin' Nolan Ryan. :finger Zambrano!
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ May 20, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) I'm sitting right behind the Cubs dugout at the stairs.. if the players don't get to him.. I will. Good job Steff. 'Que pasa Gordo?' is Spanish for 'What's up, fat boy', he'll LOVE it.
  16. QUOTE(BuehrleTheAce @ May 19, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) Crucified for being honest? Sorry, it doesn't turn me into a hater. I'm sick and tired of athletes who are fakes, phonies, outright liars, as well as those who issue cookie-cutter answers. Tell it like it is IMO. So he's a pull-hitter and isn't hiding from the fact. Perhaps his swing adjustment (for which he ALSO got crucified) was trying to help him add further dimensions to his swing. It obviously hasn't worked out. All he said is that he's a pull hitter, big deal. Maybe he meant he's a lot more comfortable, or it's more natural for him to pull the ball, than to go opposite field. I bet that's true for most hitters. It's not like he said, he's never gonna gonna try to go to the opposite field. In fact, he said the opposite.
  17. Am I the only one who thinks what he said was not horrible?
  18. keep trying, now I'm getting upper deck but RIGHT behind home plate.
  19. if you keep trying, there is ONE, single, sweet, $50.00 for tomorrow that keeps coming up FWIW.
  20. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 19, 2005 -> 05:11 PM) No actually I don't..I take it is a must buy then eh? I'm not a big fan, BUT She plays a stripper........and does some stripping........and it is some very good stripping. Check it out my friend.
  21. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ May 19, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) All I know is Natalie Portman...hottie!! I can't wait to see this show. Then you must own like 4 copies of "Closer", I assume.
  22. QUOTE(Steff @ May 19, 2005 -> 04:36 PM) FWIU.. they are going around and several locker rooms have come up positive for them. These two are newsworthly though. Time to bleach the shower stalls maybe.
  23. QUOTE(sec159row2 @ May 19, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) did the cubs have a scout there? Dusty was. She's throwing all 3 games against us over the weekend. He thinks she's good for about 570 pitches total.
  24. Whatever, how'd she do at the plate?
  25. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 19, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) Crazy things happen in this series. It always seem like the poorer team ends up winning the first series. Don't ask me why. I think we'll have our work cut out for us this weekend and we may be looking at avoiding a sweep. The only thing predictable, is that it will be unpredictable. With the exception of last year, both teams usually lose 2 at home.
