  1. Paulie-CF Willie-C Crazy Carl on the hill
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) They've hit 4 freaking guys this series and a couple in the hand you'd think that would be enough. Today we'll see. If they plunk us again, I bet we fight, we'd better. I predict no one gets drilled.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) I guess you can say that but Marte's was not intentional and Harden's was. I agree, but it doesn't matter. I'd expect one of our guys to plunk them if they broke say Crede's hand. Now it's even.
  4. QUOTE(ptatc @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) The difference between going through the nail and under the nail is that there are no pain nerves in the nail. The actual drilling doesn't hurt if you stop at the right time. Going under the nail is not advisable because the nail bed and skin have a high concentration of nerve fibers. This is why cutting your nails doesn't hurt unless you catch the skin. Makes sense. I can tell you that even after they shot up my toe to numb it (which was painful as hell on it's own) it still hurt like a MF'er to have it lifted off the meat and then yanked off. Going through the nail to release presuure sounds painless.
  5. QUOTE(Beastly @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) Give them Politte... Give them the finger. :finger
  6. Um, didn't Marte break Chavez' hand last year?? Revenge?? Now we're more than even. Play ball, let's take 2 of 3 and cut the BS.
  7. Sounds like someone finally had a conversation with Scarface.
  8. I don't think any of those is serious, except maybe and only maybe Uribe's. It does bring the lack of depth to light though.
  9. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) LOL Dude, I was so pissed at Dead last night I wanted to scream. It was all I could to keep my hands off the bottle of JD last night. Today is a new day. ahhh Jack, a good ole friend always around to numb the pain. Nuke, we will today, book it! Line ups out yet?
  10. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) You could see Guillen on the bench after the balk saying "I didn't see it" - Greg Walker was next to him. The bench didn't look too upset. Seemed like a ticky tack call to me but both the 1st and 3rd base umpires saw it. I was a little dismayed he didn't come out and argue the Widger tag play at home plate. Both Buehrle and Widger were upset with the safe call. There are pros and cons for the manager coming out to protest every close call that goes against you. Good points, every call is bad, but last night, he had TWO legit beefs. On the balk, the hitter stepped out 1st, NO doubt.
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) I was all over Oz for that one in the chat last night. Any other manager save for Jerry Manuel would have been right up in that Umps face screaming his fool head off. I know Hawk went ballistic after that call and it looked like total BS to me too. I mean an ump is very, very rarely gonna reverse a call, that's not the goal. But he might feel like he owes you one on the next close call. You see that a lot.
  12. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) Jermaine Dye looks like he spent more time lining up his cars for MTV's Cribs than he did getting ready for the season. Just as Dye looked more focused on a few at bats last night, he s*** his skirt in the field. He is my biggest concern right now, looks flat, lazy and distracted. Side note: For a supposed 'hard ass', Ozzie sure is afraid of umps. Didn't argue the balk on Marte or the play the plate and we got screwed on both. I think he might have come out when Carl got drilled.
  13. The O seems to be waking up a bit. I think every guy who had at least 3 at bats last night, had a hit. That's a good balanced attack and guys picking each other up.
  14. I think the Sox will remember last night's game and learn from it. It might be a turning point that propels us to even higher levels of play. This team seems to have a lot of fight, I think it might fire them up. Now lets' take 2 of 3, c'mon Freddy no HR derby.
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) Having the nail removed and drilling through it is two completely different things. get out, really?
  16. I had half of a big toe nail removed once because it was ingrown and it sucked. They put this huge gauze around it, so you can't fit a shoe and it hurts like hell. It took like 7 days before I was back in a shoe. Toe injuries sound like sissy injuries, but they're really a pain in the ass more than anything.
  17. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) I couldnt agree more... if you got nasty big boobs get the f*** away from me.. B is PERFECT! It's all about how they look on THAT woman. Small B's on a woman who is 6' 1" tall, might look very flat. Full D's on a woman who is 5 feet tall might look freakish. Now if they trade,
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 09:45 PM) Yikes... She was in what I like to call the "jiggle zone". I will do any and everything in my power to not visit the land of the jiggle in my lifetime as long as I am able to run on the treadmill. And it's not healthy to have all that cellulite either. Heart attack just waiting to happen. She's the heaviest woman I've ever thought was hot, but I still like em 'thick'.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 09:32 PM) Super Skinnyg - UGGGh Fat - UGGH Right in the middle (give or take a bit) = PERFECT D's = Bad C's = Solid Nice Bs = Fantastic Its funny how what the fashion industry hypes is kind of the opposite of what most people in the real world want. On a sidenote I'm not implying that Tyra and whoever else aren't hot, they are, but those girls that are just super super thin...not attractive to me at least. Ugliest thought of Hot women in the world = Anna Nicole Smith (NUFF SAID). I agree, skinny chicks look like 9 year old, castrated boys. We look at different things, I look from the waist down. Even at her heaviest Anna Nicole Smith was still sexy to me.
  20. Tyra has an alien head. Check it out.
  21. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) And it's a damn shame.. I would not risk my health to look like Calista Flockhart.. she's nasty anyway. The fashion industry is run by people who think skinny is hot. Personally, I like meat on women. A lot of guys think J-Lo is fat, I think she's perfect.
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) What a f***ing shame. Steroids are stupid. The side-effects are so known plus I don't know why girls or guys for that matter would ever want to use them. Why use drugs, just be who you are. If you want to look amazing try to eat right and exercise. Thats the best you can do, after that just know you worked hard and if people got a problem with it then the hell with em. We're talking about young kids, it takes a while for some of them to be happy in their own skin.
  23. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) dammit man, I was gonna say 158 - 4 don't be ridiculous.
  24. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) Apparently... The part about the eating disorders was interesting also. Guess it's not a good idea to aid in that distructive behavior.. :rolly It's all part of the culture of fear and consumption. Why do the girls want to look like that? Because they see it on TV and in magazines that try to sell you s***. The message is, if you don't look this way, you're ugly. Instill the fear and sell the buls***. They're too young and naive to see it.
