  1. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 07:22 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=260826104 So we're only playing an 8 inning game tonight ?
  2. QUOTE (quickman @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 07:14 PM) i am talking about the at bat not the relief pitcher. The point fathom made was since its not the starter thats in having a 13 pitch at bat doesn't matter against a guy who's only staying in for one inning. Only the hitter producing matters.
  3. QUOTE (quickman @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 07:12 PM) he took a pitcher to 13 pitches, thats a good at bat besides the fact he flew out. The twins basically have three guys on there team, and the sox continue to let those guys beat them. Thats the difference, Basically our single A pitcher against there best player. game over. A little quick with the game over there Quickman.
  4. Need a clutch one TJD.
  5. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 06:59 PM) BA may hit it to Pluto Are you crying now that Swisher is batting for him ?
  6. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 06:58 PM) 3 more innings, sox will get 0 hits vs. the Twins pen. We are going to be swinging for the moon. Wrong but way to be optimistic.
  7. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) The mighty Brian Anderson may be able to take him deep if Guerrier is coming in Ha I'm starting to think your a girl.
  8. Time to take the lead .
  9. You're asking us ? I thought you knew everything ?
  10. Hope they show the replay of that out at second. Fields was busting his ass.
  11. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 06:44 PM) I predict use getting 0 more hits this game. Trust in the Golden God that is BA.
  12. Richard looked good for a while . Would like to see AJ catching him next time since both his starts caught by Toby.
  13. Blind ump missed the 1st pitch.
  14. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 06:24 PM) You don't think he'd that many HRs? Made me laugh again.
  15. Shutout also gone Youkillis with the homer but Angels up 6-2.
  16. Base hit between just by the shortstop for Pedroia. No no -no for Lackey.
  17. 1 down for Lackey in the ninth.
  18. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 06:19 PM) If BA played every day, he would hit .320 with 30 HR's and 110 RBIs Made me laugh !
  19. Ahhh missed the BA homer waiting for LAckey to finish his no hitter.
  20. QUOTE (NYSox35 @ Jul 29, 2008 -> 06:02 PM) Just 83 pitches and won't have to face Ortiz & Manny if he retires everyone in order (6-7-8 up in 8th) Thanks . Now I have it on. Well flipping back and forth between the Sox game. Through 8 . One more inning.
  21. Teams are asking for too much right now. Just an example is what the Pirates want for Jason Bay from Atlanta. They were offered 4 minor leaguers , one of whom had a pretty good stint with the Braves earlier in the year, and turned it down. 4 young guys , one of whom is major league ready for a guy who is only under contract for the rest of this year and 2009 seemed like way too much to give up but yet the Pirates said no. Won't be much happening till some of these teams lower their demands , maybe at the last minute.
  22. It's also time to move Alexei up in the lineup. Just because he has speed is no reason to keep him batting last. I think it's time to bat him 6th and move Swish to last . Anderson/Wise platoon 7th, Fields 8th.
  23. Nice try Rock. The power of positive thinking or positive reinforcement must help somehow. If it doesn't what would explain vast differences between home and road records ?
  24. KW is no idiot. He's out there trying to make impact moves. Imagine if the Sox could pry Roberts away from Baltimore and then turn around and trade Cabrera to the Dodgers for whoever. By all appearances thats what he's trying to do. Pretty bold thinking nearing August changing your up the middle D completely on a 1st place team. He's also got his plans B-Z depending how things unfold before and after the trade deadline. If Richard pitches well enough to stay we'll see him getting spot starts for Danks and Floyd to keep them as fresh as possible . If he doesn't, Haeger's an option. It all depends on how big of a lead we can maintain in the division. It's possible KW's already got Paulie to waive his no trade status to certain teams. Does anyone think Swisher is untouchable ? I never see his name bounced around as trade bait but he's a pretty valuable commodity. I can see Cabrera, Crede, Fields, Konerko, Floyd , Swisher, and/or Poreda going to the Dodgers . They have Kemp, Lowe, LaRoche and any number of players that could help the Sox. If the Sox make any sort of big trade it'll probably be with the Dodgers , but by most accounts the Dodgers aren't even sure what direction they want to go. If anything happens look for it to happen late , either Wednesday or very close to the deadline expiring.
