Some national PK love
QUOTE (SpainSOXfan09 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 05:23 PM) We have all said what a true gentleman and class act he is and has been. Anyone think he will have enough credentials/clout to be mentioned for the HOF? White Sox Hall of fame for sure. Cooperstown I dont know

Some national PK love
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 19, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) It's unfortunate the team is squandering what very well might be his last good season. PK will be 36 next season. I think PK has a lot left in the tank

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 18, 2011 -> 10:00 PM) Since no one noticed...the Kaptain hit HR #30 on the year today. I saw it! And to think we had some calling for him to be traded or let go to free agency

He is trying hard to make this a close game. Now 10-5 and two on with one out. Can a relief pitcher, who creeates his own problem, still get credit for a save if he comes in 10-4 and we win say 10-9?

QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 18, 2011 -> 09:39 PM) I hope they give him one more year with a new coaching staff around him. The Sox are going to suck next year with or without him, so they might as well see if they can turn him around while he's here. I think if the Sox give up on Gordon it will be a big mistake. We seem to make our assumptions about a player based on a year or two sample and not the long haul of a career. Plus the kid was rushed to the majors IMO and had to learn at this level rather than getting a year or two in the minors. Plus he has a real good glove

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Sep 18, 2011 -> 08:23 PM) Sox will almost undoubtedly find some way to blow this one, but Dunn has three hits vs. lefties in the last two games. Just checking in between watching the game: Two gift runs-one allowed because Danks stood on the mound and didn't cover first base on a DP attempt started by PK

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
Are we thinking Albert Pujols wants to be with Ozzie Guillen? If Miamai got both Ozzie and the King of Swat together they could be an exciting team again.

John Danks to throw for the Sox against Sox killer Bruce Chen. Let's hope we and Danks can rebound

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) Since we have to win out to have a chance at the playoffs, it's more like: Let's win win win win win win win win win win win win win I stand corrected And it's always more fun to win then lose

Elimin.....ation
The regular players are paid to play. Make them earn it. I don't really think playing rookies for the last 13 days is going to make a difference for 2012. Hopefully Spring Training is where they show up. Using the logic of playing rookies to see their contributions for the remainder of the season is like thinking Dunn or Rios will magically appear also. So it's six of one and seven of the other

Sox playing someone tonight
Mark has given up 11 hits and 3 runs (only) through 5 innings. Sox still struggling with the bats. Terrible didpaly here. Maybe they will finally come out of it in the next 4 innings?

Sox playing someone tonight
Pretty sad with Buerhle giving up 7 hits already in about three innings. See his fastball clocked at 82 and his change up at 80 LOL

Sox playing someone tonight
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 12:02 AM) This season is toast. Give De Aza as many PAs as possible and then you re-evaluate in the offseason. I know you don't want to face this reality. But there's a good chance CQ is traded before opening day next year. It's not that I don't want to face the chance CQ is traded it's just I think it is not a good idea. I don't see how it will help the team unless we get someone in return that is an impact player. Not a prospect of some type, which usually gets mentioned here as a mid level or lower talent. You trade a fellow that can hit like CQ then you need someone back as good if not better. Anyway that argument can go on forever. But, I know realistically anyone can get traded. Problem is the ones that should get traded stay and we don't improve
