Sox @ Rochester Red Wings, 09/07, 7:10
elrockinMT replied to LittleHurt05's topic in 2011 Season in Review
I want to keep winning -
Hope the Sox keep Quentin. De Aza, Viciedo, Quentin and I guess Rios would be a good OF and have some run production. Viciedo can play the corner spots, 1B and DH (and maybe an occcassional 3B) so he would get playing time.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 09:09 PM) So why are Dunn and Rios playing? Better question...Why am I bothering with this argument? They are playing because they are still a part of the team and are making an awful lot of money to just sit. Rios went 3 for 5 yesterday didn't he? Dunn, well I believe he is trying. I don't know why you are bothering with the argument either. I am not really arguing I am just stating my opinion nd asked you a question. I choose not to sign off on this season yet or our players. What happens over the off season will be interesting for sure -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 08:59 PM) Is that a serious question? Yes it is. Regardless of where we are in the standing right now it is a good thing to think positive. Too many ups and downs in this game to always be thinking the worse. I will settle for them going downm fighting anyway. You play to win and Pierre is doing a good job. Probably won't be back next year but that remains to be seen I guess. -

QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) I hope Peavy gets shelled early and Axelrod gets 5-6 innings as today is his normal turn. I was kind of expecting Axelrod to start and Peavy to sit the rest of the year, but we are still in it. Question still remains and that is Peavy still in it? -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) And what is the new manager going to do with Rios? If he's on the roster, he'll start. Story today I read saying the OF would be CQ-DeAza, Rios and Vicideo . Pierre most likely not re-signed because of age adn his hig dollar demand (They said $8.5M this year?) I think Lilli is the super sub

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 05:48 PM) Or simply practice how to land without destroyign your body. I hear you, but you know he has made a similar play like that before and a number of other really good dives and leaps to catch flyballs

QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 04:48 PM) lol. Thanks but a 1,000 posts that Oz sucks and should be fired versus two that it ain't all his fault is about right I guess we were destroyed or something, or so I was told I never believed it was all Ozzie's fault. I am sure though this off season will be plenty interesting

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 08:48 PM) I think the weak pop ups to the left side where Dunn doesn't even know where he hit it have concerned me more this year than the strike outs. His bat speed is just gone. Maybe no bat speed is because of no confidence? I don't know maybe the guy needs glasses or something. It is troubling for sure -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 08:42 PM) 6 IP, 5 K's, 4 hits, only a handful of balls hit hard off of Philip, 0 ER. I was afarid the league had caught up wioth Humber, or he had a dead arm, but today he is showing why he should be in the rotation next year -
