  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 03:57 AM) Another 20-21 year old kid comming up joing Heyward, Stanton, etc.. (though not the same caliber as a prospect, but still a very impressive looking young prospect Viciedo is) Alexei should be happy too. I think it will be good for both Alexei and Dayan.
  2. They paid Viciedo good money and it would be kind of wasted don't you think if he stayed at the minors level. I am sure he can play 3Ba bit, sub at 1B and DH. He was called up for his bat. Nix just wasn't doing it but thanks to him for his efforts. Maybe he will stay in the Sox system if no one claims him.
  3. It is so much fun to specuate on possible moves. I have seen nothing yet official so I am assuming that Hudson is being laced on ready alert just in case Jake has to go on the DL. But, he just might get pushed back a game or three too and no move happens.
  4. I think any replacement for Nix should come from within our own farm system. If we see continued development of someone like Morel than maybe Teahan becomes expendable next season? I wish we had kept Juan Uribe. Anyway that didn't happen and rather than sign someone elses castoffs let us look internally for replacements
  5. Danks can go 8 and maybe the complete game with 92 pitches or so through 7
  6. QUOTE (scotty22hotty @ Jun 16, 2010 -> 11:22 PM) Even if hes "healthy" I'd shut him down till after the break and just let Hudson take over Not realistic
  7. Where did this surgery thing come from? I watched his game last week on TV and he looked pretty sharp to me
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 12:54 AM) That's what Joe Morgan said Sunday night. Of course, he also was telling us all why Robert Green's goalkeeping technique was poor in the goal he gave up against the US on Saturday... Not saying for sure but I trust Joe's baseball knowledge a bit more than his hockey instincts. And you are right I do remember it being Joe Morgan now.
  9. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 12:53 AM) double bacon cheese We need to work on Gordon Bechams issues
  10. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 12:51 AM) CQ RBI hit 3-0 Sox. saying what I did when I did helped CQ snap out of his slump for at least that at bat Thank you very much
  11. The CQ gounded into a DP in his first at bat and is now at at .200 average. Everyone else seems to be coming around abit except Quentin and I guess it's a bit early to say Gordon is snapping out of it. What's up? I know that someone in the news media suggsted carlos had gotten into some bad habits and altered his swing, etc, because of his injuries
  12. Good win rebounding from a tough 1-0 loss to those flubbies
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 11:21 PM) Wow, Kotsay played that ball terribly. Down 2-0, as Garcia has nothing on any of his pitches. Team came out flatter than an anorexic girl tonight. So much for being a great defensive replacement
  14. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 10:50 PM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,1976020.story Mainly a fluff piece, the most interesting part was. I think we can now kill the internet myth that Greg Walker teaches "lift and pull". I do like Rios this year. Hope he can keep it going as somethimes he is the only one
  15. The Nats have banged around two teams offensively in both the kids wins. He is something special for sure, but if we have a p[itcher who can shut down the Nationals I think we can score a couple runs and maybe win
  16. Beckham will stay in the bigs. Quentin is still battling back from injuries and has picked up some bad habits
  17. It was a good game. My hat is off to both Gavin Floyd and Ted Lilly, but for the Sox not to at least tie the game in the 9th, and I think we should have scored a couple, was an absolute farce.
  18. ESPN Sunday Night Baseball: I'll be there. See you all behind the big screen.
  19. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 12:08 AM) Mark! Konerko Santos Putz Jenks Jenks? Once again we see the dark side of our closer-he has too many of these games where he allows baseruuners in a save situation and eithr gives up a run or two or just barely gets out of it. Your closer shuts the opposition down period! I am getting tired of his chameleon act
