The only thing Joe seems able to do lately is hit a homer every 4th or 5th game. Hope he gets on track soon.

Runners on at 2nd and 3rd with one out and we can't score. That's not good. I see we left 3 others in scoring position too this game.

Gammons calls the Sox one of the best teams
We always admire those that agree with us. Kruk said the Sox were good also

No More Waiting KW
We have tried Diaz and moved Cotts from the bullpen, which was probably a mistake. I think if we need the 5th starter on Saturday that we either let Cotts do it again, or bring up Rausch or Munoz from the minors. Any trade right now would be a panic move in my opinion and especially when folks start throwing names like Lee, Konerko and Maggs in there. We would get fleeced and why are we trading any of our top hitters for someone we need as a #5 starter? The team has a real good balance right now and all you hear is break up the line up and get some pitcher, any pitcher. Calm down people!

Benson for Lee?
Why must Lee or Konerko go? Lee is an all-star waiting in the wings and Konerko is an all-star.

Wacky Trade Idea:
It is a "whacky idea" and I don't think the Sox should or would give it a second thought.

This is Garlands chance to stand up and shine and he blows it. He gives the Twinks back the 3 runs and they threaten for more. Couple that with our offense not bringing in the runner from 2nd with les than 2 outs and we have a problem. Garland had better start pitching like the ace we are expecting or he and the team are not going to make it. We need to leave Minny with a tie in the standings. I am sick of this inconsistency.

Garland just walks Hunter with the bases full. The twins get a free run back and we are still in trouble. This is exactly the stuff that happens to destroy a clubs chances of being the top winner in the division. Pitchers must shut down teams after the offense hands them a lead.

These two cheap hits is a lot like yesterday. Jon has got to be tough.

Good to put a quick three spot on the board. Now I will feel good about our chances if Garland shuts them out right away in the 1st

I'll take awin in this game please! I picked Little Willie as my PTC, but didn't get on line in time to change to Maggs when I saw Willie wasn't going to play today. Maggs was going to be my choice instead. The site was locked down. Go Maggs!

Cotts
I like Neal Cotts but this wasn't the right way or time to make him the 5th starter. I just knew we were headed for trouble when Ozzie said they would treat Neal a a relief pitcher. Didn't make any sense. They didn't want to send someone down and bring a 5th starter up obviously, but asking Cotts to be an effective starter at this point was not going to happen. I hope he is ready for the next outing and we have an winner.

5th starter.
Why is it there is always this stuff about trading Konerko and Valentin? Plus we never seem to think their worth any more than a 5th starter or some utility man in value. Please may we dispense with these kinds of statements?

Jeremy Burnitz
That's a lot of players considering there are only 25 roster spots. Maybe they are so slow it just looks that way, or they have split personalities? Actually I am not sure Burntiz is the answer either. But, I think it is probably pretty obvious that Aaron might be the one on the bubble and will end up be trade bait. I still like the guy though and maybe he wil turn it on.

Thomas.
You know it Nuclear! A week ago and Frank looked absolutely horrible at the plate, but this man is a great hitter and he has absolutely put a hurt on the baseball the last 2 games now. He has shown time and time again the ability to right himself and return to the form that has made him one of baseballs most feared hitters.

Thanks for the update. Hope it isn't anything that puts them on the DL. Little Willie doesn't have much of a protection level if he bangs into Maggs.
