  1. Your right, but was there anymore we could add? Stewart remember. I am not sure Schoeny started for us. Anyone else?
  2. You mean to tell me there is still hope starting tomorrow? Good to see the Indians and Tigers play ball with the big uns. Tigers Maroth pitched a shut out vrs KC. He won 3-0 and now is 7-20 on the season. Record ain't as bad as the losses would indicate.
  3. I haven't been a fan of the 4-man rotation, but anything has got to be better than our fifth starter who can't even get us past the 2nd or 3rd inning. I am not sure we have anybody else except rookie Jon Adkins who didn't pitch well for the little time he was here earlier.
  4. I can't stomach any more pitching displays like this one. Wright absolutely sucked and Koch gives up 4 walks and no hits in relief. The whole crew aexcept for Wunsch and Gordon looked bush. We outhit the Beantown bombers and basically just handed them the game and said, "we don't want to compete anymore."
  5. I would have at one time said we had a good chance versus Wakefield, but he throws a junk knuckler and we haven't hit slow and slower good at all lately. I heard one time that the secret to hitting a knuckle ball pitcher was to shorten your swing and go to the opposite field as much as possible. The only one I can think of that has shortened the swing is Crede. Everyone else is either slumping and tries to hit a homer on every and any pitch thrown. I am not to sure we can beat him. However, if Colon is good, and we need him to step up again, 3 runs might be enough.
  6. I'm with you on this rafa. The guy doesn't even make a battle of it.
  7. It looks like C Lee is just up there swinging at everything. Pitches way low and more way outside. What's up here?
  8. The Boston bullpen has been their achilles heel all year. Can we at least try and make a come back in the 9th?
  9. I apologize to Flash Gordon. Shouldn't say anything about him. The guy has really battled for this team. Actually they all have, but we are down to the wire and they are playing like little leaguer's the last few games
  10. It looks like we might have to be worried about how many doubles Flash is going to give up and not walks.
  11. It's hard to believe we have out hit these characters, but 12 walks. My gosh what is wrong with this group the last few games?
  12. Sorry. I didn't mean to be a rally-killer. Heh, wait a minute there was nobody on...
  13. 3-1 pitch to Jose. He couldn't try for the free pass, huh?
  14. I'm back. Just in time to see a 9 pitch at bat by Paulie end in a ground out.
  15. I have to go. Hope I can log back on in time to see the real Sox come back.
  16. What the heck was Jose swinging at there? Pitch loked like it was almost on the ground.
  17. Good at bat for Paulie. Made Suppan throw 8 pitches and he takes the walk to lead off.
  18. 10 walks to the Botox and only 4 hits, but I guess they don't need to swing the bat when we give them a free gift. Did the Sox 2 errors lead to any damage?
  19. I do agree with you there. I accepted the trade thinking we had gotten a 44 save man and the justification given was legit sounding, hat being Fouke was going to be a FA.
  20. No Big Hurt I honsetly didn't like it at the time. Keith Foulke was always a favorite of mine and I saw him turn it around the 2nd half of 2002, but JM wouldn't use him in the closer role. I think that Keith will be a FA at the end of the year though. Maybe the KW/JM crew will swallow their pride and try and sign him.
  21. There are times we just can't get anyhting right and tonight it is magnified. No run support versus the Twinkies and no pitching tonight. If these guys are big league ball players I hate to see what we have in the minors.
  22. Tell me again the justification for trading Foulke for Koch?
  23. Looks like we are going to lose on walks tonight.
