Hello Sox fans, I just logged on. My computer crached on Saturday night and I just got it back from the shop. Bart gives up two homers I see. Frank is still trying to battle for the team and everyone else must be taking the rest of the year off? How has the team looked so far?

We are trailing 7-1 in like the third inning. Can't be anymore demortalized or lackluster than they already are. ESPN News always carries the Sox news conferences after the game, but if ESPN is carrying the notice you have to wonder. However, if Manuel is still in the dugout today it might be anything else, but his being canned.

Colon could easily be the real ace of the staff next year. Buerhle, Colon, Loaiza and Garland are a good staff and we need to add #5.

Your right about this stuff rex. Time will heal all. Next Spring Training we will all be pulling again for the Sox in whatever form they take on the field. There is always that chance with KW and JR running the ship that Jerry Manuel will still be here too. We just have to wait and see I guess. Makes good fodder for posts though don't it.

I was just thinking (I know some would debate that) about all of these managerial candidates with experience and anyone out of a job has gotten fired from somewhere. Who just quit on their own? Picking someone with no expereince makes just as much sense then as picking someone who is an ex-manager and got himself canned. Maybe we go with someone like Carlton Fisk. He managed at the all-star futures game right? I think we should bring in a Sox legend to manage. Any thoughts on that?

Esteban Loaiza will win his 20th game tonight. I am not sure if he is going to win the Cy Young Award after a couple bad outings and with Halladay pitching lights out, but he still has a couple chances to put up some real good numbers and may win more than 20 this year. I am an Esty fan.

Someone said once awhile back that pop up were usually indicative of overswinging on the fastball becasue they were going for the homer. Did Carlos do that? We have had a lot of pop ups the last few games especially.

Anything is possible that's for sure. I really have to admit I like the Tribe and their young players. A few years ago I would never had admitted liking them. I have always hated th Twins even when I was a young pup. Always loved the Sox.

Hurt with 99 rbi's and Maggs with 92. It would be kind of a nice ending if they could join C Lee with 100 plus ribbies for the year.

Just got back home and logged on to mlb gameday and soxtalk. Thanks hotsoxchick1 for the play by play. I saw your earlier post. I am relying on you for the info. Don't think I'll see another Sox game till the Yankees series on WGN.

Don't anyone take this the wrong way, but Selig and MLB will expect the Sox to look at minorities in their hiring decision for a manager, if in fact Jerry Manuel is gone. Who might be out there with either experience as a manager or as a big league coach? Willie Randolph maybe. How about Hank Aaron? Let's think big and wild here. I personally like Jim Leyland though. The issue remains though and that's will Reinsdorf drop Manuel. It might not happen, but the onus might be put on the players and a shake up done there. Kenny Williams would love being able to do a lot of wheeling and dealing I bet with and for established players. Nothing against Wally backman in my mind, it's just that a AA manager with limited experience at the big league coaching level isn't really our way of doing things. Then again our way of doing things hasn't worked well has it?
