  1. It's pretty easy to see the issue with Castro. He can't control the run on his fastball.
  2. REading into Baseball America's subscriber content on Phegley, it's some stuff I've never heard of before. They basically say he didn't deserve the Gold Glove last year, but he has gotten very good at throwing out baserunners (48% caught last year). The book has been that he is excellent at blocking baseballs, but terrible at catching balls. They consistently comment each year on the high amount of passed balls and insist that these are not pitches that he fails to block, which is very strange.
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 08:21 PM) How has Phegley been behind the plate? He's been tested a bunch and has done pretty well. On throws, he couldn't grip on the first one and the second one was very inaccurate
  4. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 04:52 PM) How did you come to that conclusion? I thought they got rid of him because he was baseball stupid even though I liked him. Who did they trade him for? nobody important...
  5. There's a chance there with a good throw.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 07:18 PM) Anderson singles in his first AB. Nice to see a first rounder getting knocks consistently. Reminds me of Courtney Haw--- oh wait, that was last year
  7. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) Remember when the Sox removed Santiago for Axelrod? By far the worst personnel decision this year. Luckily, Axelrod pitched over his head for much of the time Hector was out of the rotation
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 07:19 PM) How did Tekotte get caught stealing? the...usual...way?
  9. Yeah, because how did Tampa Bay get a Wil Myers anyway?
  10. I don't hate Axelrod, but I don't think he's going to be a White Sox for much longer than the next calendar year or so. I don't think he'll be a starter of ours a couple months from now.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 07:02 PM) Make Axelrod give you some innings He has Troncoso up, that's the part I don't get
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 06:55 PM) DL unfortunately I meant more along the lines of after the trade deadline when one of Peavy/Danks is likely to be gone. I don't think the groin should keep him out too long.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 06:54 PM) Coming up to a 5 ERA. Hopefully he's not in the long term plans of this organization. Hopefully E. Johnson is ready to debut sooner rather than later
  14. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 06:53 PM) Something tells me we get to see Castro's debut too. Good call, I was just thinking about who would get the call. He should be well-equipped.
  15. Will the real Dylan Axelrod please stand up?
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 06:41 PM) I can see Gillaspie being a part of the future here. Indeed. But first, fire Rick Hahn
  17. Nice play by Tekotte. The kids can play?
  18. Good stop by Phegley with man on third
  19. Regardless of what Stone says, I haven't seen Rios play a ball near the wall well for quite some time
  20. I think there is a tremendous risk in acquiring Dwight, but I sure can't blame Houston for taking it. If it doesn't work out as planned, they aren't going to be worse off than they were before.
  21. Yeah I think it can be a successful means to lose weight. The trick is being able to stick to it while it is going on (especially difficult at first, many folks I know take fat burners to curb appetite to enable this sort of restriction) and then being able to keep your progress once you stop, because some people will simply binge once they are allowed to have carbs again. I would suggest not doing it for more than a month at a time and I would suggest doing a carb "refeed" once a week.
