How is Chara not penalized there?
-
Dave Revsine @BTNDaveRevsine 3m Bruins apparently resorting to sound strategy of committing penalties to ensure the win. Hockey equivalent of Hack a Shaq

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 09:38 PM) We should immediately punch marshand in the mouth to make it 4 on 4. Can't let your emotions take over. Punch Chara in the face...if you can reach

So....power play?
-
Best chance of the game there, Shaw to Kane, nothing to show for it
-
LN Peaslee @LNPeaslee 5m @MattSpiegel670 CBC broadcasters pointed out chara left for lockerroom for 4 straight shifts. Kane/toews on bench whole time. Bad coaching
-
I'm just not very comfortable being down in the series.
-
We really and truly don't look like we have a chance.

Game. We don't look like we have a chance.

I didn't think I'd ever say this, but in the last 5 periods they've looked like they're better than us

We're f***ed.

QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 07:41 PM) I know the Sox system is bad, but it's hard for me to get behind a RH SP that sits in the high 80's as their #1 prospect. 1. Courtney Hawkins 2. Trayce Thompson - He's made real strides this season with a career high BB% and career low K%. Though it appears the Barons park is sapping his power. 3. Erik Johnson 4. Tim Anderson 5. Carlos Sanchez - I'm surprised how many people are putting Micah Johnson ahead of him. 22 year old's in Low-A should be putting up monster numbers. Sanchez is the youngest player in the international league, so it's somewhat to be expected that he struggles. What makes you think this? Almost everything I've read has Johnson sitting at 92-93, with the capability to run it up higher than that on occasion.

Crawford = god

God damn it Shaw, we don't want a power play!

I prefer Stalberg over Bollig, but this is a lot of fuss over the last guy on the roster. This is like debating Casper Wells vs Tyler Greene. If it comes down to that guy, something went wrong. Just like in Game 2, the fact that it came down to Bollig was just the end result of giving up the game in the first period and getting outplayed down the stretch. I hope Stalberg kicks some ass and we can think about the bigger picture.

Last year in AA: .800 OPS, 10 HR, 12 3B, 13 2B, .240 AVG/.370 OBP There was some hope there. BA a little low, but at 23 he still had time to sharpen that up. He was looking at least like a serviceable MLB backup with his speed and defense. This year...there's no explaining that. Some have said he is a release candidate, but at age 24 and with a little bit of track record I'm going to try to find a level/batting approach/position/something where he can succeed and hope something clicks back into gear.

You're Hahn, who are you looking to trade first?

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 01:35 PM) I dunno. Even tho Dunn has 18 bombs, I personally think he's been lousy. Paulie is finished, I think everybody agrees with that. But I would not "stick it out" with Dunn. The idea is that nobody is going to give you anything for Dunn. Given the other moves we're going to make, plus the imminent losses of PK, Floyd, Thornton, Crain to free agency, we really don't even stand to gain much by saving the money if someone DID take him for nothing. In this case, you keep him in your lineup. Home runs are fun and bring fans to the ballpark and if you're not contending NEXT year and he's still looking like a 40 HR hitter, someone probably will give you something significant for him because he won't cost so much $ in the final year of his contract. In the worst case, you're paying him money that we were unlikely to spend anyway so us as fans aren't hurt by it anyway. -
iOS 7 game controller adapter spotted This seems pretty cool.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) "Toy guns are just a gateway to using real guns." http://gawker.com/elementary-school-launch...ogram-512276709 Oops: I'm pretty sure every person quoted in that article is a complete idiot. I think children can be taught that the way we play with toy guns isn't the way we play with real guns nor the way we treat people that aren't playing games with us. Likewise, the gun rights group pretending that there are many more people using guns in defensive ways than in crimes is stupid. That is only true if I pretend that my dad's gun cabinet is stopping a home invasion every few days just by being there. They could have just said what I said about toy guns and not turn it into some pro-gun mythmaking session. People like to be dumb.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 12:01 PM) Why? Are you saying the amount of overhead you noted is the remaining pool (assuming Freudenberg is slot) TOTAL underneath the pool limit? Yes
-
There is a 100K per pick limit in rounds 11-40. No pool for those picks. If you go over 100k on any pick 11-40, even if you went 1K on others, the overage is taken out of your 1-10 pool. 100K or less on any of those picks doesn't affect your allowed expenditures.
