There are few circumstances where I pull my starter in the fourth inning before he's given up a run in that inning. EDIT: The mistake here is having him starting in the first place, and I have a feeling Robin has less say in that than we think. The GM will have a huge say in that, as well as the pitching coach. Hard to say whose vision it was for Axe to be in the rotation.

Needed innings from Dylan, not mad at Robin. Taking out your starter in the fourth inning is tough business. Shame on Dylan for throwing over the middle of the plate so much. Hope this is the last we see of him this year.

I'd say no Sanchez. This is Gillaspie's big shot.

Horrific news in Texas today, re: stabbing. It shocks me to see conservatives on my facebook feed politicizing this event, with mocking "we need knife control" stuff. Don't they realize that this guy's lack of a gun saved MANY lives? Nobody died today from that attack, though certainly lives were changed for the worse. Do you think he could have managed to spare the lives of these people if he was shooting them point blank with guns instead of stabbing with a knife? Would he have been subdued by students as soon, or would they have had to wait for a reload (after who knows how many shots)? They're undermining their own point.

I have a CQ jersey, bought it just days before the bat smack/broken hand incident. I really thought he'd be here to stay. I still like him. If I had to buy one now...probably Sale. Maybe Ventura. Lots of folks have gotten good value out of Konerko jerseys, but now isn't the time to buy. If they got cheap after Paulie left, I'd think about it though -- especially if he retired. He's an all-time Sox great, so it's okay to wear his jersey when he's gone.

24 at bats in for Keppinger. Teahen alert! FWIW, it's 4 million dollars. Even if he sucks, that is not a big deal. That is a laughably small portion of our payroll. Anyway, I don't think he's going to be unplayable and the Sox even said they believed it was possible (I think they were hoping for this) that he would be a super-sub before it was all said and done anyway.
