Tattoos
I always planned to never get any tats, but my brother died a few months ago and I think I'm going to get one to commemorate him. He had his fair share of tats, and my other brother already got a really awesome one. On his arm is a biker with wings (like an angel, but not so girly) on his Harley (my deceased brother had a lifelong passion for motorcycles) and theres a backdrop of sky and road that the rider would presumably be riding into. I'll try to get a picture sometime. I may get a duplicate of that, I'm not sure.

Dog Suggestions?
It's a little too big, but I have a boxer and love it. Mine is quite playful, but great around kids once he was no longer a puppy. Given proper exercise (like what you plan on doing) will keep rough-housing in check. They are very loving and very loyal to their masters, albeit a bit stubborn at times. They can seem kind of ugly at first, but they really are adorable dogs. You would have to decide if one suits your lifestyle, but if you get one you will certainly fall in love.

In need of help from the computer whizzes
So I've been downloading movies off the internet, and recently I've came across a string of full length movies that are being played in fast motion. I'm led to believe that this is a common practice, but I don't know how to get the actual watchable video out of it. Any suggestions?

White Sox License plate ideas
My license plate is NO HIT 2. My number, and then of course what I'm always throwing. I remember that NO HITTA is also available. Hopefully that applies to the Sox in 08

Rowand not ruling out return to South Side
QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 05:53 PM) Yep...Rowand would be great for the Sox...but not for over $10 mil a year. Sorry A-Row, but hustle and one awesome year at the plate doesn't make you an elite player. Unfortunately, I think when the Aaron Rowands of the world get $10+ million per, it isnt a talent evaluation error. It's just the new price for that caliber of player.

Sox aiming for Eckstein...
A small defense for David Eckstein, he is very popular. He puts asses in seats, because there is something to like in a 5'7'' grinder shortstop.

Broadway/Phillips Called up too
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Aug 31, 2007 -> 10:56 PM) Perfect, Lucy is completely overmatched in AAA, I'm sure he will do much better up here. He'd prolly do pretty well against the White Sox bullpen.

Lockdown
QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Aug 29, 2007 -> 02:43 PM) it was a question, not my opinion, but thanks for answering. I agree. The kid did the right thing and should be honored for a smart, quick response. That is the general feeling around school. As an update, the police are trying the main two involved as adults, and the other as a juvenile. 12 counts of weapons charges apiece, and one has a charge for cocaine possession. What the police are saying now is that the guns were brought to school to be sold by one to sell to the other, for money and possibly the cocaine that was found. The buyer was late to school however and the exchange was never made. Rumors are that it is gang-related, but that could be totally made up. The main talk around school now is why the TV cameras seemed to find the parents with the fewest teeth.

Lockdown
So shortly after another dreaded day of school began, it suddenly became more dreadful. Just 5-10 minutes after pledging allegiance and listening to morning announcements, our principal came on the loudspeaker once again. He says we are in a Code Red situation, and we all groan about how we hate Code Red drills. Lights out, door locked, we all huddle against the wall. My teacher complains that they didn't even warn her about this drill. After about 45 minutes in near silence as we are told, the principal again comes on the loud speaker telling us that this is not a drill, and emphasizes that we are not to answer the door under any circumstances and to follow all other code red rules. He repeats this message periodically, and we start to realize that maybe there is a Code Red. Most speculate that somebody phoned in a threat. Now, the principal speaks again, saying that we need not panic and that we are all completely safe. After a nap, and lots of Spanish review, we are let out of our rooms and led to our auditorium 4 hours after the initial announcement. Hungry and starting to get worried, we listen as the buzz gets around that maybe something more serious than a phone call has happened. I notice that students are missing from the auditorium, I hope they were just the P.E. students outside and were ushered into the neighboring Junior High. Our superintendent finally steps up and announces that we will be leaving early from school today. He then introduces our Chief of Police. He says that there was indeed a very serious situation today, although our safety wasn't compromised. He then holds up a pistol and tells us that six of these were found today and 3 students have been arrested. A student saw/heard about the supposed plot and told the school resource officer. We leave school sans bookbags and all, the administration wants everyone to leave as soon as possible. We are greeted by what reporters called 120 parents who heard through various media sources that the school was locked down. Looking for my mom (who I did find) I was fighting off reporters and TV cameras, not to mention concerned parents. By word of mouth, I have gathered the names of 2 of the 3 arrested kids. (Won't be spreading that here or anywhere) as well as the student who somehow foiled the plan. I wasn't familiar with the names I heard, other than after I looked at a yearbook I identified one as a busboy at a local restaurant. Also by rumor, I have gathered that they planned to take out a particular person at lunch and then continue the assault on the rest of the student body. Incidentally, that was also my lunch period. Kind of makes me wonder what could have been. Fox Chicago Video Pantagraph Chicago Tribune

Tigers Set to Sign Porcello
QUOTE(29andPoplar @ Aug 14, 2007 -> 01:41 PM) There are certain teams who are very serious about not going over slot recommendations, count the White Sox as one. The Twins are another. And it's obvious that the Twins have a terrible farm system because they refuse to pay their draft picks.

Jermaine Dye or Aaron Rowand?
Owens LF Fields RF Thome DH Konerko 1b AJ C Rowand CF Crede 3b Richar 2b Dye SS Yep, it all makes sense now. Dye fills the need at shortstop, he did play there last year after all.

Who's the Sox's best athlete
In Erstad's defense, I've always heard him referred to as one of the fastest players on Nebraska's football team, and definitely the fastest punter they ever had. If BA was still with the Sox, I'd say him because he was well thought of as a basketball player as well as baseball, where he is obviously athletic, even if he can't lay off an offspeed pitch down and away.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2007 -> 11:58 AM) "AJ Pierzynski and Scott 'Pods' Podsednik accidentally get caught in a pose that seems to resemble doggy style sex" I guess it just goes to show, there is nothing funny about White Sox baseball right now.
