Alomar
According to The Cardinals official site, Alomar has not been signed. Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere or not.

Alomar
I have always been a big Robbie fan. A little less when he was in Cleveland. At 500k I think we could have given this guy another shot.

Predictions Thread
I think Iguchi will be signed and somehow I do believe that KW will get Vazquez.

Two questions from a new Sox fan
I've been to a handful of ballparks and by far The Cell is the best one I have been to. If it were reasonable I would become a season ticket holder in a second, unfortunately my line of work won't allow it. But, I make every effort to get up there 5-7 times a year.

Will you accept a NY fan?
I liked The Jets uniforms of the days of Mark Gastineau much better. I hate multi colored uniforms.

Whatever it is, nicely done.

The Cardinals signed INF Abraham Nunez to a minor league deal. Will this take them out of the Cora running?

Harris
Roberto Alomar?????

Harris
My thought on Harris is that if he is going to be given another chance than I hope there is a suitable fall back option in place right away. Last year's fall back will be the starting shortstop and Wilson Valdez and Robbie Alomar aren't acceptable. I'm with the consensus on Davis too. Whether or not this stat matters, of all the catchers The Sox used last year: Olivo, Alomar, Burke, Davis; The pitching staff had the highest ERA when Davis caught.

Favorite Offseason Move?
Has to be El Duque, hopefully an end to the 5th starter roulette wheel.

Interesting
That is a great sig witesoxfan.

Cora, Eckstein, or...
KW struck it gold with one Japanese player. If the price is right and he can be had, why not take a shot?

WSCR 670AM, MLB.com: "El Duque" agrees to deal
I'm with you. I think he will be here by New Years, if not before.

WSCR 670AM, MLB.com: "El Duque" agrees to deal
Get Cora or Eckstein and I, for once, will be happy.

WSCR 670AM, MLB.com: "El Duque" agrees to deal
If Duque wears down and has a dead arm period or whatever, maybe this what KW had envisioned for Hermanson. A spot start here and there to go along with that bullpen role. I wouldn't have a problem with that.

Cora, Eckstein, or...
This may be just me. But, for example if we sign Cora, would Willie Harris have any trade value at all? I think I would much rather see Valdez as the bench guy (can play both 2B and SS) and Cora starting as opposed to Willie sitting on the bench and plays only 2B. I guess Willie also plays CF, but that won't happen much this year probably.

WSCR 670AM, MLB.com: "El Duque" agrees to deal
Wasn't 2003 the year that Brian Cashman said that the only team that he was scared to face in the playoffs was The Sox? Guess he should have feared the Marlins too.

Don't forget about a healthy Schoenweis and Scott Sullivan out of the pen, super sub Tony Graffanino. Oh the heart ache that goes with that 2003 season.

IIRC, he was injured once or twice before that also.

I prefer this signing (if it happens) to Jaret Wright. Wright would have been a disaster. IMO

Did El Duque pitch in the playoffs last year? I'm drawing a total blank and don't remember.

IIRC, he has never pitched anywhere else in the majors right? Wasn't he hurt for the whole season in Montreal?
