Odalis will sign with Boston tomorrow and then KW will get busy with guys like El Duque, Millwood, and Milton. Can we just once have a solid 1 thru 5 rotation. Can't wait for another we are comfortable with Jason Grilli as our 5th starter.

KW just needs to get the hell away from this train wreck of a trade and get Clement signed.

I consider Dustin Hermanson an option for the 5th starter spot. I know others disagree. So, if we lose out on Clement, (which, IMO, if we do, we will lose Perez too) why not sign a guy like Antonio Osuna or Jeff Nelson for the pen and fill the other holes? I just don't see how KW can justify sitting on that money.

No, I don't think KW planned to save that monry until July either. However, The Sox have other holes besides the 5th starter spot (I think all can agree that is the biggest). But, when potentially guys like AJ, Polanco, Cairo, etc.......... can be had fot that money and are potentially signed by other teams for an amount within The Sox budget, then the CLEE trade to me looks like a salary dump. The mere tthought of KW mentioning this scares me that was possibly the plan all along.

Sorry if the comment offended you, perhaps it was harsh. Yes, it was harsh. However, my point being, he had the chance to take a good offer from The Sox and turned it down and when KW did what any smart GM would do he got blasted for it and prompted Maggs to blast The Sox entirely. That, in my book isn't right. I know JR isn't a saint, I'm the biggest Carlton Fisk fan I know and I'm still pissed all these years later at what JR did to him. I'm not going to try to start an argument or anything on here, but you don't know me, so the dips*** smiley wasn't necessary.

The Boston thing worries me because they have to be in panic mode now with Pedro gone and Schilling possibly out til May.

I was all for the The Sox getting Big Unit. Not for that price though, even if it is Everett. KW would be gutting this team for one 41 year old pitcher. I now turn my back on The Unit trade, don't do it.

He was also hurt for most of it. Look back at 2003, he can still hit. Everett has a big year this year.
