Spider-Man Gets Picked Off Base

I'm glad they came to their senses. -
Thanks everyone for your thoughts, prayers and stories. It helps to read these. It was a difficult rest of the day yesterday and this morning. I guess it will be like this for some time but it will get better with each passing day. We should be receiving Rylee's ashes sometime next week so he will always be with us. We would have buried him in our backyard but with as much as we move it wouldn't have made sense. I had forgot to mention what the doctor thought was wrong. With the extremely high white blood cell count and the way the X-rays looked he believed there was cancer in his spine and that it probably started putting pressure on the spinal cord.

I'm a football fan, probably more so than baseball and I hadn't heard of Pat Tillman before this. He derserves the Silver Star and Purple Heart and what he did to save his fellow Rangers was brave, unselfish and heroic but no more so than any other person in the military serving our country. Everyone in the military is there by choice so they have all given up something. I think this puts into perspective that we place our sports figures way too high on a pedestal. At least, that's what I think.

This morning we had to put Rylee, our 17-year-old cat, to rest. My wife came home from work last night and found him in our bed lying in puke. She got him off the bed and he could barely walk. She took him to the Vet and they could find nothing wrong. All his blood work came back normal, his results were like that of a 10-year-old cat. She then referred us to the emergency clinic and they put him in a heated cage (his temp was down to 97, normal is 100). They took some x-rays and all they could see was quite a bit of arthritis in his back and tailbone but his colon was empty and so was his bladder. At 10:00pm we had decided to keep him there overnight so they could get him hydrated (he was a bit dehydrated) and take a couple more tests. This morning we called and they said he had shown no improvement but they wouldn't give the test results over the phone. My wife and to go in anyway because the clinic closed at 8am and we needed to either take him home or back to our Vet. After she got there they said his white blood cell count (normal 500) was around 4,500 and they could not keep his temperature up, he would not eat or drink and he is a big one at both of those. He was in obvious pain even with the meds so we decided to put him down. My wife held him in her arms and after the Vet gave him the shot, he looked up at her, licked her lip and nuzzled his head into her arm like he would do all the time when he would sleep with us.........and then he was gone. The Vet said he had never seen anything like it. Rylee was different than other cats; I actually think he thought he was a dog. He would meet us at the door when we got home from work, he would beg right next to our Akita's while we ate, he actually would even eat the dog food out of their bowls when they were not looking. He was a very affectionate cat who loved to snuggle and watch TV. If we were both on the couch he would have to be touching both of us. I will miss him terribly. (Thanks for reading)

When do you think the fans start coming back??
moochpuppy replied to soxfan420's topic in Pale Hose Talk
First, with the Bears you have 8 home games compared to 81 so why go to a cold/rainy Sox game in April when you can wait to go in June, July, August or September. Second, you expect to be cold for at least half of the Bears home games. -
This movie is going to be remade by Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise is to star. I think it's supposed to be released late 2005.

2001 Cincinnati Rush defense ranked 11th 2001 Tampa Bay rush defense ranked 12th 2001 Jacksonville rush defense ranked 10th 2003 Washington rush defense ranked 24th 2001 San Francisco rush defense ranked 9th 2001 Bears rush offense ranked 17th Bears were in the bottom half in the NFL in running the football while these teams A-Train ran against, with the exception of Washington were in the upper half of the league. So your theory of the Bears great offensive line for blocking doesn't hold up. If you remember the Bears were a better pass blocking line that year only allowing 12 sacks for the season.

2003: Chicago rushing ypg 110.3 Tampa Bay rushing ypg 103.0 That's definitely better? A whole 7 yards a game?

Holy s***!!! That's the last time I turn off gamecast with one inning to go. Damn nice comeback!!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR NEXT SATURDAY. AS YOU MAY ALREADY KNOW, IT IS A SIN FOR A TALIBAN MALE TO SEE ANY WOMAN OTHER THAN HIS WIFE NAKED, AND THAT HE MUST COMMIT SUICIDE IF HE DOES. SO THIS SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. EASTERN TIME ALL AMERICAN WOMEN ARE ASKED TO WALK OUT OF THEIR HOUSE COMPLETELY NAKED TO HELP WEED OUT ANY NEIGHBORHOOD TERRORISTS. CIRCLING YOUR BLOCK FOR ONE HOUR IS RECOMMENDED FOR THIS ANTI-TERRORIST EFFORT. ALL MEN ARE TO POSITION THEMSELVES IN LAWN CHAIRS IN FRONT OF THEIR HOUSE TO PROVE THEY ARE NOT TALIBAN, AND TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY THINK ITS OKAY TO SEE NUDE WOMEN OTHER THAN THEIR WIFE AND TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR ALL AMERICAN WOMEN. AND SINCE THE TALIBAN ALSO DOES NOT APPROVE OF ALCOHOL, A COLD 6-PACK AT YOUR SIDE IS FURTHER PROOF OF YOUR ANTI-TALIBAN SENTIMENT. THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT APPRECIATES YOUR EFFORTS TO ROOT OUT TERRORISTS AND APPLAUDS YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS ANTI-TERRORIST ACTIVITY. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Bears running attack - ATrain + TJ injury / TJ failure = NO RUNNING GAME!! A-Train's top 5 performances: 22 rushes, 188 yards 31 rushes, 173 yards 33 rushes, 160 yards 32 rushes, 141 yards 18 rushes, 127 yards Two of these are in the Bears top 20 of all time. The only players with more than that are Payton (12) and Sayers (3).
