The Cubs are to be pursuing that trade with the Twins for AJ. The Twins have also been shoping Radke and/or Milton in order to free up salary to maybe resign Hawkins and retain Stewart.

The trade of Konerko to LA would help that in getting Perez. I also think Chuck Finley has something left in the tank and may now come back realizing he isn't going to get the high dollars.

I think if the Sox trade both Maggs and Konehead they will resign Everett and Alomar: Lineup - 2B Alomar LF Lee 1B Thomas DH Everett CF Erstad 3B Crede SS Valentin RF Rowand C Alomar I would like it if Ozzie moves Thomas down in the order and bat Erstad 2nd, Lee 3rd and Thomas 5th.

This team will amount to nothing as long as Rose is on this team and if Crawford keeps it up he'll be gone as well. These players are not the coach and should respect the decisions that are made by the coach. It worked too, go figure.

I'd have to agree, with the current status of this team, I'd have to vote "out of playoffs". On the other hand, the Twins are going to lose some significant players via FA are not willing to increase payroll, the Royals starting rotation is still pretty young, Beltran could be traded and they are not willing to increase payroll, the Indians are still young and improving but they're still another season away from contending IMO and the Tigers are the Tigers (except against the Sox)....so it is possible to win this division next season.
