If the Tribune finally goes out and gets the pieces needed to make the next step (something they failed to do in '84 and '89) like a LaTroy Hawkins, Billy Wagner, Ritchie Sexton, Miguel Tejada...for example...then look out.

I could care less about the fans like the ones pictured above. How can they be crying?!? They're not even old enough to remember the other Cubs collapse (1984). The ones I feel for are the ones that have been fans of this team since the depression (like my Grandpa's Brother, 88 years old). That was the saddest thing I have ever seen in professional sports last night.

I feel the same way. He deserves some of the ribbing but you know there are more idiots out there that will do more than just joke about it and that's what's sad.

In the interest if full disclosure and because I am sick in innuendo and slurs, I will state that maybe 6 months to a year ago abo began using his picture as his avatar. Not the same pic as now, but a picture of him. I PMed him and suggested that if that was indeed a picture of him, he should consider a modeling career, at least part time, as a way to pick up some extra money. The law office that I work for, we have many clients who do modeling part time for Sears, KMart, Meijers, and other companies. A good friend, Jack Cook, made enough money at it to put 3 children through college and take his wife on a nice 50th anniversary cruise. I am sick until death at the evil minds of some people here. If suggesting that someone has the capabilitries of doing modeling is considered some sort of perversion then we are in a really sad state. I also think Steff could model. Does that make me a rapist? I suppose anyone who posts a picture of an ahtlete in their signature means they are "queer" for that athlete? Anyone who calls an an athelte a "stud" is homosexually involved with that athlete? Do you know what you call a fan who may have cost the Cubs a WS trip? A Sox Fan. Let's welcome him to real baseball. I think he's going to fit in just perfectly. No thanks. I don't want a fan that is not aware of the situation on the field and costs his team a very important out in the most important game for his team in the past 20 years. He fits right in as a Cub fan.

Even it was out of play, knowing the situation the Cubs are in and when your own teams player has a chance to make a play, you get out of the way. I've seen it numerous times where fans back off and allow a player to make a catch over the wall.
