  1. Im not saying it to brag, Im saying it to prove a point in the fact that they keep talking about OPS which really shouldnt be a statistic. OBP and SLG should be viewed seperately.
  2. Utah was the weakest, there is no doubt about that, but its hard to let a ranked team in the preseason and undefeated in the regular season excluded from a bowl game no matter how easy there schedule was. I wish Utah played texas though, Alex Smith and Vince young-thatd be a good game.
  3. Yeah, there are my last prayer since the bulls suck again and there is no hockey until the greatest time of they year-baseball season. Oh, I miss it already. I always take it for granted during the season.
  4. This seems to be a rivalry for many years to come, Peanut VS Moss.
  5. Well, once they put krenzel in, hutchinson was learning the system. He was probly ready a week or 2 later, but the team kept winning, and its hard to bench an undefeated quarterback no matter how bad he is doing. so he went 3-0 then 3-1. He had 1 more chance and then they would probly bench him, so they did and now hutchinson went in. I am pretty shocked how well chad did
  6. I'd say it's pretty fair to say that 90% of us should.
  7. Probably, but they didn't really impress voters after there weak win against Southern Miss.
  8. Hits and extra base hits come in stretches for ALL hitters. Every players has there hot and cold streaks. This is true with pitchers as well-they will have many consecutive starts where the offense is getting hits. Homeruns and Walks are something that for the most part stay constant. Most people dont really understand OPS in the fact that OBP is 2 or 3x more important than SLG. It is part of sabermetrics which has developed from the start of Bill James, and I know more about sabermetrics than 98% of the people in this forum.
  9. 1.Mark Buehrle( 2.Freddy Garcia 3.Jaret Wright 4.Jon Garland 5.Jose Contreras Thats a rotation with a s***load of potential, if they all did what they could do, they would be one of the best in the leauge, if guys like contreras, garland, garcia, wright struggle and are super inconsistent we could be running uphill come september.
  10. If he keeps it up, we will be getting offered lots of deals from teams, similar to the AJ Feeley situation.
  11. 2 gm back. Not worried baout division, worrying about wild card, but its always good to c the vikings and packers lose.
  12. I thought he did good. He made the big play when we needed it(3rd and long). He looked comfortable and when things broke down, he scrambled to the outside and look for a good pass. Made 1 forced throw the whole game and protected the ball well when sacked. I was very impressed.
  13. BB and HR are what make an offense.
  14. He actually is, he is probably one of the stupidest coaches ive ever seen. He talks exactly like grady little(thats a little random, but whenever i hear him talk, his voicee sounds exactly like little's)
  15. Tech will beat auburn. Auburn's defense is slowing down and cadillac and brown are as well. Bryan Randall will lead tech to a shocking slaughter over auburn.
  16. What do u mean the only spot obp is wanted is leadoff??? It is every spot in the lineup. Walks are the most important statistic in the game. That's the same as saying, you don't want a guy that can hit hr in the 9 slot because thats not his job. It's foolish.
  17. It looks like old lady's boobs, not biceps.
  18. Amazing We are still in the playoff race And to think of how many of u were making fun of me when i said they had a chance at 1-5 :fyou
  19. Even as a top prospect, he wasn't expected to post big slugging #'s. Maybe 15-20 hrs max were expected. He was expected to be a 30 sb, 315 avg guy. He is not a power hitter or a patient hitter, therefore he is a bad hitter.
  20. You guys are both kindve right IMO Stereroids won't kill, but if you over do it, it will destroy your body. If you do it consistantly for a long time, your body will suffer greatly.
  21. That's part of that offseason drill where they go after every ball, incomplete or fumbled. The ref wouldve called it incomplete if every bear didn't chase for the ball.
  22. Wow, boston's speed for his weight always amazed me. I wonder if he took roids at OSU.
