He has been injured a lot but as of now, no injury has permanently effected his body. Besides, we would be fine as long as his injury(s) arent longer than a week or 2 cuz we got TIMO and gload.

They would do konerko and garland for wells I think. I believe most teams actually like garland more than wells.

I wouldnt compare him close to Drew because he doesn't have the power of drew. Although, at Johnson's peak I think he'd get a 380-400 obp, 290-300 avg, 15-25 hr. Very solid #'s. I would be happy w/ Johnson as a replacement for konerko if he is traded.

I'd be happy w/ that except I really don't like clement(it's not that he was a cub), he is way too inconsistant and we have enough of that in our rotation. I'd rather get Lieber, who is a superconsistant grinder.

Why is that. The league leader for k's the past 2 seasons have been a little more than 200-Johnson consistantly hover around 300. He might not get sub 3 era but he'd get close if he came to the sox. BTW, why do you think this-is there anything you can point to that would lead you to this explanation?

I didn't disagree w/the firing but the timing was horrible, to fire a guy midseason but ask him to continue to coach for the rest of the season-that was horribly handled by the athletic department.

He's a little faster than paul but it doesn't really matter because almost every 1B has below average speed.

He has never played first although first base is far and away the easiest position and if someone is over 6'0 I have no doubt in my mind that with some work, they could handle the 1B job well. So yes, if we needed him (which i doubt we would) I believe with a month or 2 of preperation he could play 1st base at least adequately.

I agree w/ you on this-he has a very low obp which contributes greatly IMO why he is worth single digit millions

But he walks a TON and is a great power hitter. Great OBP & SLG=Very Good Player.
