  1. That could be Brian Simmons you're thinking of, he was in that deal.
  2. Late nineties, I know for sure he played in 99. I always assumed that this was one and the same. I still believe ours had that kickass ML debut. Wonder what happened to him.
  3. How did Craig Wilson leave the Sox? IIRC, he hit two doubles and a homer in his ML debut for the Sox, that is pretty sweet.
  4. How can you justify that? I honestly don't think anyone else in this world can agree with your opinion on this? Just because you feel like it? Lame!
  5. Timo's double, CLee's fly to right, and Carl's sac fly was actually good baseball, but that's about it.
  6. You're right on. 62 games left, 4 out, is not slim and none if we get help. Not slim and none at all.
  7. I'm very frustrated, but to blame the loss on the pinch hitter, who actually got a hit, but was hung out to dry on a hit-and-run... is honestly one of the stupidest opinions I have EVER heard in my entire life.
  8. Made an error that lead to a run, and weakly grounded out on first pitch with two down in ninth. Typical night.... (as of late)
  9. I'm not faulting Willie, because he has to swing, Yoda, but it is on the hitter. It didn't work out, but we were trying something. Why do you have a personal Vendetta against Gload?
  10. You're right. I was just hoping that this was going to be one of his few AB's where he earns his paycheck. Guess not.
  11. You are a dumbass, were you watching the game, or looking at gamecast? Blame Willie for swinging through the pitch.
  12. Dump the whole f***ing farm and get some offense. I don't want to wait another year. I'm still IN to the end.
  13. Never mind... It is painfully f***ing obvious that we need extra bats. f*** the farm.
  14. games not over yet. Get ready for him to homer in the ninth inning here.
  15. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/news/mlb...s_mlb&fext=.jsp
  16. Those are his Major League numbers. CHA means "Chicago American", not "Charlotte" He is not supposed to be the answer, but he is a good 3rd catcher. Only question is, if we get Kendall or anyother catcher, is it Davis or Burke that gets sent down? I think Davis has more upside, but I could be wrong.
  17. Wouldn't everyone rather be sending prospects to Arizona and getting Jorge Posada or someother type of bat, and/or Flash Gordon instead of RJ? right now I'm kind of worried about the offense and relievers not named Damaso or Shingo.
  18. DBAHO, I'll disagree with you on number three. Sure ARow has a better average, but he has less homeruns (less AB's though) and very few RBI's for 11 homeruns and a plus .300 average. I would rathr have Hunter than Rowand any day.
  19. that's what I thought. Uribe hit a two run job.
  20. Also, why the f*** do some people want to be he f***ing best at the opening of the playoffs, or not go at all? I would kill for a wild card birth or anything. If you want to have homefield advantage throughout or you would rather sit on your ass in October, you have a problem.
  21. I don't think anybody has ever "won it outright". maybe the 1998 Yankees, but that was a special team.
  22. I can't see anyway he would ask for that much, unless he gets real hot in the next two months. I can't believe he is pitching like such a b**** in his contract year.
  23. Venting frustrations is not what giving up on a 3.5 game deficit in July is. that's just lame. Isn't this where we were at the time of the white flag trade.
  24. If we "send him to the bullpen" who the hell would replace him. If Schoeneweis did what Loaiza does, people wouldn't complain, but since it is not up to par with last year, people complain.
