  1. Just thought I'd give everyone a head's up. Game is a 1pm central start.
  2. Twins sideline reporter reporting(coincidence, I think not) a mild concussion.
  3. I don't think there was anyway he wasn't going to do his best just to put the first pitch in play. He didn't want to be in the box for too long.
  4. My prediction is that he will be booed heavily and then will be retired. I do not think he gets beaned, but if so, I hope the umpire understands that it is something that has to happen.
  5. Yeah, he's simply sitting on the bench. where was it reported he was traded to Pittsburgh?
  6. mlb.com and the Twins site doesn't mention it either. I don't think it has happened yet...
  7. On the Twins pregame show, they've yet to mention this trade... Not sure why.
  8. I wouldn't mind seeing him here.
  9. I'm watching the Twins pregame show, and at the start they played last nights highlight clip while playing Three Days Grace's "I Hate Everything About You" That was pretty cool. Anyways, Bert Blylevin said the Hunter/Burke play was really borderline, but if he was the next day's starting pitcher, he would go after Hunter. Burke was miked last night and they played sound clips of him in the dugout after getting knocked over, and he was telling Sandy that he was giving up the plate to Hunter and was well inside, and he feels Hunter intentionally went after him.... They just showed Stewart's postgame interview, and the announcer mentioned that the fans didn't like "the play" and he said "well, they don't understand the game" :fyou :fyou :fyou Twins and everything related.
  10. The only thing I could see changed there is switching Jose and Uribe in the lineup.
  11. That's quality right there. God, I hope we absolutely kick their ass. I can't see that happening. I can totally see us winning, but not blowout. Not with Santana pitching. We'll crush Silva tomorrow, I believe.
  12. Yeah, you're right. Sunday's game was not a sellout.
  13. Your pointing this out because we lost a game to a good team even when we had a big crowd?
  14. .... Or you could just run straight to the plate.
  15. I like you, because we both like the Blazers and Sox. Blazers should be good, but just need to get more size. Ratliff is awesome, but Stepania is a joke. He aired two free throws in one trip to the line at a game I went to last season. (Jan 15 vs. Suns) rolleyeyes.gif I think we (the Blazers ) should be good next year, just need to get one more big man.
  16. I'm just worried about whether or not we'll be able to hit Santana. I just hope Freddy his ready to pitch the game of his life.
  17. Certainly yes, but if he feels the need to go back and touch means that he knows Burke was not over the plate. You understand what I'm saying, do you not?
  18. You think the Twins and Tigers are just going to oblige a bunch of White Sox fans because they came in large numbers? While I believe the players get more adrenaline from playing in front of a large crowd, I don't think they'll all turn into All-Stars just because more people are watching them than normal. Think about it, it pumps up the other club to know that they can send home nearly 40,000 unhappy. Works both ways.
  19. That's good to point out, but it just shows that he knows he was not close to the plate. I used to respect Hunter as a ballplayer, hated him because he was on the Twins, but now I simply hate him.
  20. I thought it was a mistake earlier, but I now feel compelled to point out that the word is "row", as in consecutive. Sorry if pointing this out offends anybody.
  21. An even better description would point out that it was so far out of Torii's way that after barrelling over Burke he had to get back up and tag home plate because he didn't get it earlier, seeing as how Burke was nowhere in the vicinity.
  22. Seriously, though, positioning him as a "coach" won't happen, but if were were put on the DL, he could still be out there and "coaching" but wouldn't take up a roster spot.
  23. In a roll? Like a bread roll? Jk I don't think anybody thought that Everett would be the "answer", rather that he was going to help, which he will. I don't think anybody is planning on him carry the offense.
  24. I agree, I would love to get a sparkplug type guy, sort of like Shannon Stewart. I really belive that a starting pitcher is not what we need, but someone who can help us everyday.
