  1. Come on a yay haaaaaw! (Jack Black in Saving Silverman)
  2. I feel like if you're not willing to watch us lose by one or two in the top of the 9th, you don't care enough to enjoy when we make comebacks like last night, or against Soria in KC. My buddy and I had courtside seats for Game 4 of the Mavericks\Blazers series, and he actually got up and started walking out in the third quarter, if not for Brandon Roy's 3 to cut it to 18, he would have left. How could one live with themselves as a sports fan to leave before your team makes an historic comeback? I will have that 4th quarter for the rest of my life, and I would have never forgiven myself if I missed something like that. Just watch the games, folks. We don't have a time limit in baseball.
  3. Fairly stunning to me how many people hate watching the end of games. Especially in save situations. Also, is it really that hard to stay up until midnight? I get it if you have to get up before 5 am, but otherwise, a West Coast game should be pleasurable, a late night treat. Just my 3 cents.
  4. Yes, Im rather looking forward to it. Ive got $91 on an online sportsbook, and it seems a good day to bet $91 on the Angels (to win $87). That way, if Jake Peavy wins, I'll be thrilled. If he loses, its worth $178. Keep in mind I defintely hope I lose the bet. Go Sox, and go Jake!
  5. Attending the series in Seattle has resparked me, I was actually pumped up watching tonight's game, which was probably the first time for me personally since the loss to Oakland to make us 7-5. Great to see Dunn startng to hit the ball well.
  6. Is there a throat virus tearing up our broadcast booth? Not sure what I'm hearing in there tonight?
  7. Is it just me, or does abybody else think Castro's arms, especially forearms, look surprisingly thin and unmuscular?
  8. I sat courtside at the Mavericks v. Blazers game today. Absolutely the most incredible sporting event I've ever attended. Brandon Roy, "The Natural". He ain't finished!
  9. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 07:22 AM) I have relatives liivng in the Salem area and Portland. Ex-Sox player Pete Ward used to be in Portland did you know that? I did not know that. One thing that I do recall was wearing a White Sox sweater at an OSU football game some years ago, and a guy noticed it and said his friend Larry Casian, ex Sox pitcher, lived around there. Seattle is good times though, and I thoroughly expect to enjoy a White Sox sweep (Adam Kennedy hit cleanup for them yesterday!). Prior to last year the Sox were 0-10 when I saw them live at Safeco. : (
  10. I shall be at all three as well. I'm an Olympia resident, work 7 miles from Safeco Field. Pretty excited about it. : )
  11. Our pitchers have allowed a grand total of FOUR homeruns this year. The next lowest total in the AL is 9, while in the NL the Braves have allowed just 7. Very nice.
  12. Best sports moments Ive been to: 1) The Blazers comeback to beat the Hornets after trailing by 27 in the first quarter last year. 2)Martell Webster's 24 point 3rd quarter against the Jazz a couple weeks ago. People were positively buzzing each time he touched the ball. He missed a 3 towards the end of the quarter that Im sure had it gone through, the Rose Garden would have collapsed. 3) I havent been to too many Sox games, but probably the best I was at was "C'mon Timo! C'mon Timo!" The worst: Whenever I see the Sox at Safeco Field. They're 0-11 when Im in attendance. The worst definitely being Billy Koch blowing the 2 run 9th inning lead on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball in 04. I felt so sick.
  13. I havent been to Soxtalk in a VERY long time. I see that cussing is no longer allowed. Apologies.
  14. As a Blazers season ticket holder, this is indeed a s***ty day. I was so excited for this season, and especially with the way the Sox season has gone, I couldnt wait for it to arrive...
  15. So after 6 games, what does everyone think? Personally, I think this club has a shot to play in late April, possibly May, but I'll wait on that one. They've got great young talent, and right now they're winning big games without Darius Miles, Brandon Roy, Lamarcus Aldridge, Raef LaFrentz, and Joel Pryzbilla. I attended tonights amazing 27 point comeback over the top ranked Hornets... by far the most electric sporting event I've ever attended. The fans, though a little few in number, are starting to comeback, and BlazerMania is soon taking over Rip City once again.
  16. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Oct 20, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) Sure, here you go. I made it myself so use it as you wish SFF I have made that picture my defaul on myspace, if that's alright.
  17. QUOTE(JoshPR @ Oct 9, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) I don't think so. He said he was 17. So he was born in 1988. Let's say he could understand TV at age 5 that would be 1993. Wasn't Ditka gone already? LOL... I love it... Having a group decide at which age an individual could "understand TV". I'm not attacking you Josh, I just think its a hilarious concept.
  18. That is the single greatest inning I've ever seen in relief!!! AMAZING!
  19. QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) I do have a great one. But, I will try to keep it pg 13. So I won't bother I really hope that's not a glory hole reference. Oh... wait.... I just made it myself.
  20. What business does that atrocity have at the ballpark?
  21. That looks like there is s*** smeared on his chin.... :puke
  22. Ahhhh..... good ol' DJ. I can't stop thinking of of his grounder through the middle to beat the Scrubs a couple fo years ago.... Listen to the song for fine memories.
  23. Unfortunately, I've never read any of the books, but I have serious wood for the movies.
  24. $1500? To be on the road all summer, with the price of gas and food? I could be wrong, but that seems extremely low.
