  1. Imagine that it is actually YOU out there on the major league mound as a young kid, and you can't find the strike zone. What do you do?
  2. AJ batting cleanup makes me ill, but whatev.
  3. I wonder if you fall asleep for such a surgery or you watch them pull a body out of your arm.
  4. I wish I had loose bodies floating around.
  5. Here's another that will really test your recall of useless baseball knowledge. Last 5 managers for each team. Some s*** will surprise you "Holy crap its been 8 years since he was the manager?!?" type stuff. http://www.sporcle.com/games/Ben/last_5_mlb I got 111/149
  6. If you enjoy it, there are a s***load of sports related quizzes.
  7. This is an amazing website. Easy to lose hours there. Just type in the name and it will fill all applicable categories. http://www.sporcle.com/games/sultanofswing...s-by-team-2000s I got 127/150
  8. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 11:11 AM) You had to have Boyd and Kent go back to back. Boyd could drop and bunt and make it to 3rd base with his speed. Then Kent drops a bunt and makes it to second. Then Barn bunts. Then Bret hits a GS guaranteed. After that it was mostly hit or miss. Denny was good with his "earthquake ball" as long as he didn't hit it in the air. Clif was the same way. I hated Jed but Bobby ran into quite a few. Wait a minute, I see you changed the order, but not the positions. I also cant believe you have Bobby (in CF of all places) hitting 8th with NO protection behind him.
  9. Haha, nice. Bobby is the sickest hitter of all time. Slow though. .750 avg with 62 jacks. And Boyd is undoubtedly the fastest man to ever put on a pair of spikes. He can double on a bunt, steal 2nd and 3rd on the same pitch, and any hit to the outfield not directly to a fielder is a Prince Fielder patented inside the parker.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:54 AM) I feel like if it's a pitcher I've never heard of and the Sox have never seen, the first 6 innings will be a breeze because our hitting coach doesn't properly prepare our players. I agree. The most recent example I can think of is when Luis Perez came in in extra innings in Toronto. An unknown Latin pitcher? We got no shot.
  11. Its becoming so popular to try to declare something as "over" as soon as possible. Both the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals were declared over by many after both Game 1s. What the f*** is the deal with this? Should we play all championships like the Super Bowl? Game 2 was "over" last night. But wait, the Mavs won. How did they win a game that was over with them trailing by 15 points? Can we please have a team win 4 games before a series is over? Also, if we lose 2/3 to Detroit, the season is not over. Cheese and rice. All IMO, of course.
  12. I feel like if its Joe Oliver starting for the Tigres we have a pretty good shot.
  13. Slowest HR in what sense? Surely that ball cant have the longest hangtime of any this season.
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) They get Dave Bush with a spot start for TEX. What a joke. The guy barely hits 85 on the gun. Plus Huggy Washington is only starting 2 LH hitters against Carrasco. Lefties hitting over .350 against Carrasco. We run bad.
  15. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) Does your mom really care that much about your education though? This. I use that line frequently. "Mmm mmm mmm, your mama sure does care about your ____"
  16. LF Boyd 2B Jed 1B Barn C Bobby RF Bret 3B Clif SS Denny CF Kent P Skip
  17. I cant tell if you're saying that a lot of people use champing, or it actually is champing and not chomping.
  18. I LOVE Hawk, and would give him a kidney if he needed It. Even if he just wanted to sell it.
  19. I don't get "trying to be fair". We're White Sox fans. Hell yes id vote Dunn over Ortiz.
  20. Seriously, Lilly is a f***ing sicko.
  21. Dude, him getting a groundball there has absolutelt nothing to do with blown saves 6-7 weeks ago.
  22. The guy made light contact and hit a routine grounder with two outs. Seems like Matt did his job.
  23. How is that Matt's fault? He got a routine grounder to the second base position, there just wasn't a 2Bman there.
  24. To Greg's question, we win at least 75% of the time from here on out, IMO.
  25. What a sick play by Lilly. Likely looking at at least a tie game after this inning if he doesn't recover.
