  1. Im flying to Chicago tomorrow morning, and am looking at buying tickets for tomorrow night's game online today. Do they still do the half price Mondays? I just looked at the site, and couldnt find a single ticket for under $41, and that was in the upper deck corners. Also, for day-of-game purchases, am I better off buying at the box office or from scalpers? I prefer sitting lower level, and my brother is with me, and we're not looking to spend more than $50 each per night, except tomorrow if halfprice, I will get the best available. Thanks for the help.
  2. The fact Davies whiffed nine makes me wonder ... do you think if you were a starting pitcher you'd rather face the Sox than any team in baseball? I guess they don't like facing Paulie who hits fastballs so well tho. I guess youve never heard of the Seattle Mariners. Also, we're very middle of the pack in the Majors in nearly all offensive categories. in the 12-18th range. Stop hating on your own team just to be cool. And very interestingly, only the Rangers have struck out less than us... out of 30 teams.
  3. Thanks man. I figure to have plenty of time to kill. Probably be at Bacardi at the Park most of the time the games arent actually taking place.
  4. I'll be making my first Chicago appearance since 2004, my first as an adult. Im staying at the Waverton on N York St in Elmhurst. Kinda far from the park, but thats the way it is. I know the Redline takes me to the Cell, what is the best way to get to the Redline? Is there anything entertaining in Elmhurst? Any information you could provide to improve my trip will be highly appreciated. Also, if this is not the appropriate forum for this topic, feel free to move it. Thank you.
  5. Haha wow. That was truly hilarious. My favorite part is Paulie just going along with what they say. Props to you.
  6. They say he's gonna be on at 8:45 Central, if anyone cares to listen.
  7. Yeah, it was nice to see Dunn salute the crowd after the single. I don't think I've ever wanted to see someone succeed as badly as I do him. Except maybe Big Frank when I was a boy and had my first mancrush.
  8. Glad to see Dunn come up with a big hit. Dont stop now, Derp!
  9. Huge break, swinging at a pitch that might hit his back foot. Thank you very much.
  10. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) He's looked better overall too, but Dunn is just sad What does that have to do with anything?
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) All right the sacrifice + error keeps Konerko from being walked!!! I still hope they walk him.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 01:14 PM) Indeed...him and Boone on same team hitting bombs in a huge park. Mmm... that 2001 Mariners team still makes my nether regions tingle.
  13. Obv I would rather have a runner at second base, but I did get a genuine chuckle out of old Burlz getting picked. One of two things anti White Sox things I've ever genuinely laughed at. The other, even though it was much more serious, was Juan running into the wall in Toronto this year.
  14. There has to be an even number of teams in each league. For scheduling purposes.
  15. Update: A few days ago, I took a foot long ball pien to a Little League complex. Wish I could tell you that I sprayed the ball around the park, but that would be a lie. I saw about 30 pitches, foul tipped two, and didn't put a single one in play. When you're used to swinging a 32 inch bat, its so emasculating to swing through a bunch of hangers with your hammer. Lol.
  16. I'm not sure why people say baseball is a kid's game. Grown ass men have been playing baseball much longer than have kids. But you're right, all of us on this board (I'm sure) would give all we have to play for free.
  17. Holy cow that's the hardest I've cheered all year. Then I was dropped to my knees by Juan's fly down the line. Oh boy that would have topped them all.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 06:58 PM) You remember when the guy in Major League said "too high"? That's what that was "Who gives a s***? Its gone." Only this one really was too high. I also logged in just to say "COCKs***!" About that catch.
  19. I applaud the effort of trying to clean it up. I'm the most cynical person I know, in regards to how I feel about people, but the White Sox are the one area of my life where I love and support unconditionally. Would I rather see Viciedo than Pierre? Of course, but I fully support Juan, Rios, Dunn, and everyone else while they're wearing our uniforms. It flabbergasts me that posters seem to hate the PEOPLE on our team, not just their performance. Being frustrated by poor play is one thing, but to hate someone because of struggling at baseball, ridiculous. I frequented this site in 2003-2004, and the negativity and bulls*** got so great, that I didn't come back here until 3 months ago. And lately I've been really close to completely going away again. Not saying that as a threat, because I'm not a big contributor by any means. Living my whole life in the Pacific Northwest, I've never once personally known a single person who considers themselves a Sox fan, which is why I'm drawn to this site. And its a turnoff to see the only "Sox fans" I know, s***ting all over the team.
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 10:00 PM) F*** Walker I could care less about his feelings, Sox do not care about ours with his ass being around after 5 s***ty years...........F*** Walker! Its mind blowing to me that people hate Person A (Walker) because they don't like the trajectory a baseball comes off Person B's (Beckham) bat. And they hate Persons C (Rios) and D (Dunn) because of the trajectory a baseball comes off their bat, pursuant to man created rules of a game.
  21. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 07:07 PM) We would get the win. Is that Brian Micon in your avatar?
  22. Given the current game situation, will this be suspended if the weather doesn't let up, or will we get the win?
