Take a look at Boston Def once they made the trade and compare it to our current set-up..Lowe will lose more than he wins with this def.

I would not mind Millwood in here, esp if healthy and with the right pitching coach IMO..everyone knows that Mazzio(sp) can turn crap into gold..once he left him Millwood mechanics looked like s***.. I think Cooper can fix that..for the right price.

IMO, I would make Jon # 4 and Jose #5 for the reason, when we are not going to use JOSE because of days off, we can use him in the pen which he has excelled at in the past. I don't think Jonny would do well in the same situation.

I agree, Would be a risk to ink him, but I would not mind that risk..Keeping Diaz in the pen this year IMO would help him down the road.. Diaz, should go into this year learning another pitch, Fast, Change..and either a Curve or a Split, the kid needs an out pitch.

Just a thought, If we are going to pay more $ for a SP, than what our current guys make.. lets make damn sure that he is better than the 2 at the top of the rotation. I would love to get Lowe here, I probally one of the biggest supporters for him.. BUt at 10 mil a year for the guy... IMO the 5th SP is more of a need than Catcher..I can stand having Davis/Burke back there for a while, if the money goes towards a SP. Who knows Davis might actually pan out as planned when he was drafted!?!?!?!

Yeah he was injuried the past 2 seasons.. If healthy can win you 15-18 games..but that is a big if. If he is non-tenured, I would love to see him as the Sox #3. Hell I don't think there is anyone here that would not love to see him there. Miller Stats
