  1. Moseley vs Buehrle. We're approaching the home stretch. Time to blow teams away like the Angels and show this team is legit. RIP'EM!!

It's going to come down to that Min Series unfortunately. The Sox have had opportunities to take the division. They haven't.
  3. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:44 PM) Just checking in here guys... Am I the only one here who is OUTRAGED that Owens was not taken out in the 6th? Not only that Ozzie pulls Dotel after he gets two men out, and then suddenly wants to play the matchup game with Boone Logan who cant hit the strike zone!!!! Then Ozzie lets the game go by keeping Logan in!!! What the HEL! is going on? WHAT THE F IS WRONG WITH OZZIE? Everyone and I mean everyone hated the non-substitution. Ozzie f***ed up big.
  4. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:43 PM) im pulling my hair out right now....f***ing fuming absolutely utterly pissed at ozzie....boone f***ing logan and jerry owens in critical situations tonight....ABSOLUTE HORSEf***INGs***.....where the f*** was thornton? where the f*** was horacio ramirez who was acquired so we didnt have to f***ing deal with that piece of s*** boone f***ing logan "dey need they resst...loo' bish, i maa' da lineup car', not ju!"
  5. I didn't like the Swisher trade or the OCab trade. I was a huge backer of Garland and though OCab was too old. At this point in time, I like the OCab trade and still don't know if I like the Swisher trade. I mean, he's great for the clubhouse, but I think Gio has a chance to be a legit #2 starter in the league.
  6. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 08:33 PM) That is my problem. Anderson has sat on an MLB bench all season. Owens couldn't make this team. To be a September call up, and get a start over someone who has been here all year is a huge slap in the face to Anderson and the team. The Sox deserved what they got in the 6th. Great post. Let's play guys like Boone Logan and Jerry Owens over players who have been here and got us this far. Great reasoning Oz. So much for using his starters and main players. Guy will let a September callup who has no business in the bigs start over his "4th OF"
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) That's just sad. This is a huge game and Ozzie has a AAA player batting during a possible game changing moment. If Owens deserved to hit there, then they should have called him up a long time ago. At least during a time when he was eligible for the postseason. Exactly my thoughts. He's not good. I hope KW just cuts him so Ozzie stops using him. I wish we had Timo Perez because at least he didn't suck this much.
  8. Not against Cleveland. There's alot of bad signs. Our guys aren't hitting and Ozzie has found it suitable to play AAA players right now over the guys who have gotten us this far.
  9. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 2, 2008 -> 06:23 PM) Only other option is Brian Anderson. Excuse me, but what happened to Griffey? Or why can we no longer play Quentin in LF with Swisher in CF? Oh and I would easily take Brian Anderson over Jerry "I have no business in the big leagues" Owens.
  10. QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 09:20 PM) Correction, their head coaching is not very good. Illinois needs to stockpile recruits for another two years and then get a good gameday coach in there. They'll win 7-8 games a year b/c they'll be able to out-athlete teams. Their coach wasn't the problem today. Their offense was not the problem. Heck their defense wasn't the problem. Their special teams was big time. If Zook sucked so much, he wouldn't have been able to beat OSU at the horseshoe last year.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 09:16 PM) Illinois is just not very good. Missouri is just too fast. Maclin is a top 10 pick, right now. Correction, their special teams is not very good. And Maclin is a sophmore, isn't he?
  12. According to ESPN Gameday, Javy is getting squeezed badly. Two inside pitches, slightly about the mid section being called balls. Both clearly inside the strike zone according to Gameday.
  13. I like his game but one could easily see why people don't like him, especially earlier in the year. He just wasn't earning his keep.
  14. Hopefully it's not a first pitch grounder or popup. Take some pitches.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) Nobody on this team can bunt, besides maybe Ramirez and Getz. I wouldn't have confidence in anyone but Getz to get a bunt down. Ozzie and his staff complain about not doing the fundamentals good enough. Well it seems like when players are on this team long enough, it's not enforced strong enough to know how to do it. That's why you should let the player swing. Especially a guy like AJ.
  16. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 04:57 PM) Because he expects a major league hitter to be able to put down a bunt? Because he expects a hitter who he's had for 3 years already to bunt when he should know his tendencies by now including strengths and weaknesses. Can anyone honestly say with a straight face, they would have any confidence in AJ laying down a bunt? If I was Getz, I would've stole no matter what.
  17. Go Sox and forget everyone else. We control our destiny.
  18. It's a crock Willie was this low. GROUP 4!!!1
  19. QUOTE (Felix @ Aug 21, 2008 -> 03:39 PM) Yeah, we weren't in contention before that deal. In fact, he's been doing fantastic for the Sox so far hitting .239/.321/.304 with a grand total of one extra-base hit. That just screams "person that put the team in contention" to me. But it was a damn good one. And it's about the team and that's Griffey's greatest asset. He brings a quiet confident swagger. Something that says, "Don't worry, I've been on sucky teams. Chill out relax and let the good times roll. We got this." I think he's a really good influence to have around. What a great team player. Ozzie will tell you the same.
  20. But it was a damn good one! And his effect is on the team, not his individual stats. It's more than that. SMH at you not following the team concept. Ozzie told me so. Don't be jealous because you don't have Griffey's smile.
  21. Gio = left handed Pedro Martinez. I digress... The move that put this team into contention was Ken Griffey Jr. Anyone who doesn't agree just doesn't watch enough baseball.
  22. Mcdonald's at Union Station FTW!
