QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 02:37 PM) i think a new rule should be if you say the season is over when its not you should be suspended....all we have to do is win at home When was the last time we won 3 games in a row? How about swept a series? -

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 10:59 AM) and Lee isn't pitching fo the Indians Here is the line-up I would throw out there for all four (hopefully 3) games and say get it done you are all veterans Swisher-Cabrera-Thome-Dye-Griffey-Konerko-Ramirez -AJ-Uribe Bullpen for all three games Dotel - Thorton - Linebrink - Jenks, that's it. I would do it too, but we all know Ozzie won't. -
KW crying? Maybe he will finally do something!!!

And so much for not going to the Metrodome anymore. Kenny ended up going to all 3 games. -
QUOTE (almagest @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 02:31 PM) I have. A friend of mine lives in Portage Park, which is right by there. He complains constantly about how awful the Blue Line is, though, which is one of the reasons I haven't looked at much around there. Blue line is awful. Constant construction on it to remove "slow zones" which in reality was supposed to be done last year.

QUOTE (hawksox13 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 09:53 AM) Some of you guys are unbelievable! The Sox and Twins are TIED in the loss column. How can anybody say these games don't matter. If the Sox win these next four home games, where by the way, they win 70% of the time, they will win this division. I don't see the Twins sweeping the Royals. I think Greinke will shut them down. Yeah the last three days sucked, yeah the Sox didn't show much, but the upcoming series is huge. Fans need to show up and cheer for their team. But b1tching on message boards and feeling sorry for yourself isn't going to do anything. Go Sox! Greinke isn't pitching against the Twins. -
QUOTE (Nokona @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 09:35 PM) You, sir, are retarded. Not really. Yes, he's been a good bullpen arm, but he is far from dominant, he allows runners on a lot, and he has turned into a bit of a nibbler. And let's face it, the only reason he doesn't throw 101mph anymore is because he can't, not because he doesn't want to.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 09:33 PM) Well, this is the worst, most inaccurate title of a game thread in history. Close this thread, and let's start the game thread in a few hours with more positivity. Heck no. Everyone else got to make their thread. This is mine. And I have a winning record making threads. Change the title if you want mods. -
The worst part is, the Twins, before the series, were playing as bad as the Royals or Pirates. SMH. It looks like Orlando and Griffey came to play. Swisher really didn't have a shot. Jenks needs to be traded because this whole control bulls*** isn't for him. He's worthless without his 101mph heater.

Who's pitching? Who cares?

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 08:52 PM) That's the biggest load of s*** ever about Jenks. He's lost 4 mph on his fastball, and has fallen apart during the 2nd half in 2 of the last 3 seasons. I know and that's what I said when I first heard that stupid s***. -

So much for being able to still throw 100mph when he needs to. -

I'm telling you, Griffey has been very valuable this series. Wise has been awful. -

BA should be in left. Wise should not be playing. That, or play your best offensive lineup and put Swisher in there because he's your best threat. -

QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 08:59 PM) Jenks 7,8,9 or Danks.............Fuc* it! Honestly, I'd throw a starter out there. f*** it, throw Javy for an inning or two. -
He said nothing wrong. I hope he's back next year.
-
This team needs Carl Everett. Whether you liked him or not, the players respected him and he would rally the troops. We can't let this s*** go any farther. Sadly, if we do beat them 15-2, it doesn't make up for other losses. I mean, we still must go to Cleveland too.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 09:04 PM) Hit the f***ing ball, or work on your golf swing. It's the same thing, isn't it? Anyway, you guys make them early. I really wanted to make the game thread. Damn you guys. Now we'll lose because only I stop losing streaks. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 10:45 AM) Come on people, get with the times. It's the Jobu this year. Rally Crede was a 2005 thing SMH get with the program. Crede will play in the 9th inning tonight and hit a game winning G-Slam.
-
Yes we do. I've had him in my avy forever and I guess someone stopped hosting him. Time for the rally Crede to rise from the ashes.

I don't think Orton has play horrid. He's showing a guy who is kind of finding his way with the playbook given. I think the Bears need to run shotgun alot more and overall, just need to get more creative on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, wow have they fallen. Peanut is still living off Randy Moss for the most part because that guy is continually overrated. Yes, he gets picks, but if he doesn't, he usually is getting burned. Run a hitch route or a double move route and the guy is a deer in headlights. Vasher hasn't looked all too great either, so that does not help. Overall, I think the Bears need to overhaul their secondary. -
QUOTE (quickman @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 06:40 PM) fathom if Ozzie is worried about Javy's intensity in a regular season game, just think about a playoff game. the intensity is not even close yet. furthermore, the whitesox seem to be putting more and more pressure on themselves, like they are scared to go to minni, rather than going to minni, with the idea that they will be the better team. this starts with ozzie, I actaully think he is scared of the twins at the dome. I think Ozzie is more concerned with his White Sox. He's not afraid of the Twins, he's just afraid of us self-imploding because some of his guys are scared. AJ even addressed it kind of in today's Sun-Times.

I think New York affected him. I mean, even when he first began with New York, he was great. Anyone remember that game when he just flat out dominated us? Anyway, I think after he lost a couple of big games that year, New York fans started booing and calling him out and it turned out huge when he made his only postseason start. Then I think ever since, he just kind of threw up his arms and said, "Why should I give maximum effort?" And since then, he pitches just to pitch and not to win. He pitches because he likes the game, he doesn't seem to love it. His stuff is great, but for a pitcher, you just can't be going through the motions because all it takes is one mistake. That's why you have seen him dominate garbage teams for the most part. He has good enough stufff and they're bad enough to where he doesn't really have to pitch to give a crap. Against good teams, when he should hunker down, he pitches to them with the same "Manny-Like" attitude as he pitches to those crappy teams.

By far, top 3 episode last night. Holy crap that was hilarious, especially when Drama started singing with Vince.
