Excellent play. Uribe does frustrate the hell out of us, but we can't hate The Tazmanian Devil.

Bring him back!, Bring him back!, Bring him back! In all honesty, I loved Freddy dating back to his Seattle days. Big game Fred lived up to his name.

BA ALL DAY! Excellent choice.

Jenks can't find the strike zone.
-
It's not a Bobby Jenks pitched 9th if there's not at least one baserunner.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 09:10 PM) Wood throws across his body, and whenever someone throws accross their body as hard as he does, injuries are inevitable. Prior's injuries are a combination of bad luck and him getting off the juice, IMO, as his injuries haven't been one specific spot. Zito and Mulder faded away, but what can you expect, that happens to some pitchers. Also keep in mind, power pitchers fade away quicker. Buehrle is more of a finesse guy. He should be able to last longer, especially when he's cruising. Now if it's a guy like Javy, he would have trouble. Prior is bad luck and getting off the juice I agree. Anyone who thinks it was his mechanics is an idiot IMO. He had some of the cleanest mechanics ever.

Quentin with some insurance. Hopefully Jenks doesn't dick around in the 9th.
-
Wow, looks like AJ completely b****ed out Carrasco on the way to the bullpen. Like flat out yelling at the guy.

QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 09:00 PM) Dotel is the 2008 version of 2005 Marte ... when that guy would come in you wouldn't breath for 45 minutes. And here we go...a game in total control pissed away by our trillion dollar bullpen. When is Linebrink back? At least a month more. Apparently, the day after he started tossing, everything tightened up again. I wouldn't be suprised if we don't get the Linebrink we had all year. Carrasco is absolutely the wrong player to have in there.
-
A quick walk. I could see us giving up the lead with the next batter.
-
Ozzie getting booed. Probably because Ozzie is f***ing burning out our bullpen. WTF?! Take out Thornton for Carrasco? Maybe the FBI should investigate Ozzie for betting.
-
Well from the ESPN article, didn't sound like the White Sox had a scout in attendance.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Aug 8, 2008 -> 07:38 PM) Twins and Royals still tied 0-0 in the top of the 3rd. Denard Spann is at 1B though with no outs. Olivo is catching though. Twins with first two runners on, Mauer up to bat, no outs. They look like this may be their big inning.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:38 PM) Typical. Hope it is just a couple of weeks out. No idea about herniated discs. Didn't Crede's back problems start with a herniated disc? I'm pretty sure you won't see Chris Williams play all year. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:48 PM) Why leave Russell in? With a 2 run game, this should be Logan vs Granderson Agreed, I would put our worst reliever in there.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:46 PM) What do you mean Thome's run wasn't important ? You pinch run in that situation. It possibly gets you 1 run closer . Having a 1 run deficit is better than a 2 run deficit in the 9th inning. If Thome bats in the 9th that means the Sox got some runs . Yea, I didn't quite get that. His run isn't that important if it's the 9th IMO because you still have a runner on and the tying run at the plate. But since we had another inning, his run was important because one swing of the bat in the 9th and it's tied up!

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2008 -> 08:45 PM) Safe to say the Tigers coaching staff is beating the White Sox's staff tonight? Yes. Only good move Ozzie made was leaving Javy out there instead of burning our bullpen for a game that looked like we were going to lose back in the 5th.
-
It was a legit catch. He's pretty good defensively.
-
Yeah, Razor was pretty great. The year before was kind of headscratching. Thing is, Razor fell out of favor in the organization.
-
Any runner should've been sent home. The thing is, we didn't pinch run for Thome. We absolutely should have. The bounce when Raburn picked it up dictated such.
-
His stuff isn't overrated. He has electric stuff. He's just a mental midget. Honestly, he could have given up around 13 runs tonight, but he keeps striking guys out with 2 outs to end a chance for a huge inning. He's only good when he pitches pissed. When he pitches relaxed, he blows.
-
First hit of night comes from Uribe. Oh yeah, this is going to be a long one.
-
The homer was all Cabrera, but the rest of the game has been on him. He's just f***ing around. He has too good of stuff to be doing that.
