QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 11:39 AM) I have to ask...am I the only one who remembers all the times at the end of games where they'd draw up an iso play for Gordon, he'd get trapped/double teamed because everyone knew who would get the ball, throw up a prayer, and make like 20% of them? Salmons should be the man if we need a 3 and Rose for shots inside the arch. -

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Oct 28, 2009 -> 03:41 PM) ?? Do you mean Kansas? Now that I am aware of what the Polls look like, yes, Kansas is the early favorite. I still like Kentucky even with the unknowns. Of course i want Purdue to win it all -
Been meaning to post my predictions but have been busy. These are prior to to the first set of games, fwiw. East Atlantic Boston Celtics - If healthy this team wins the East. Toronto Raptors - Hedo and DeRozan should bring more versatility, could use a scoring option off the bench Philadelphia 76ers - An Elton Brand injury away from not being a factor New Jersey Nets - Should be a fun team to watch with Lee, CDR, TWill and Harris, too young to make playoffs jump yet New York Knicks - Utah will be their biggest fans and the Knicks imo are in the bottom 3 in the league Central Cleveland Cavaliers - Additions of Parker, Moon, Shaq should give Lebron some help, doesn't improve them enough to win the East though. Chicago Bulls - Losing Gordon's scoring touch hurts but Deng coming back fully healthy and Johnson and Gibsons strong preseason play helps me remain real optimistic for the Bulls this year Detroit Pistons - Question for me is who is going to score consistently on this team? Milwaukee Bucks - Need a healthy Redd. Interesting to see Jennings transition to the NBA from Europe, if that goes well I'd expect that to have an effect on college prospects going into HS. Indiana Pacers - Need their guards to play well, I like the chances of Rush and Hibbert having a solid year for them. Price and Tyler should see the court early this season. Southeast Orlando Magic - Magic will have much more competition this year in the division. Deepest team in the East, their backups could probably beat the Knicks. Atlanta Hawks - This team will score and they finally have some options off the bench in Teague, Crawford and the vet Joe Smith. One of my sleepers to win the East. Washington Wizards - As long as Arenas is healthy this team will make the playoffs. Foye and Miller were solid adds, they were a potential playoff team without Arenas, Foye and Miller the past couple years and should be a top 5 team in the East with them. Another sleeper to win East. Miami Heat - I don't feel they have improved, all the talk over the offseason of Boozer joining them ended a disappointing offseason, Wade needs more help around him. Charlotte Bobcats - Quit while you can Larry Brown. Gerald Wallace will have to carry this team by himself, MJ continues to ruin this team imo. East: Orlando Boston Cleveland Atlanta Washington Chicago Miami Toronto Detroit Philadelphia New Jersey Milwaukee Charlotte Indiana New York West Southwest San Antonio Spurs - Deepest team in the West, had a great offseason, could give LA a run for their money. Dallas Mavericks - Still waiting for them to add the center they have been needing for so long. Marion helps this roster a lot if healthy and Gooden was a quiet good addition. New Orleans Hornets - Hornets are not getting any better, I feel Chandler is a better fit for this team than Okafor. Paul will need to carry them into the playoffs. Could be a breakout year for Armstrong and Wright. Houston Rockets - A year ago I had them winning the West but it is hard to place them without Yao and McGrady and given how well of a fight they put up against the Lakers in the playoffs. Brooks was my sleeper pick in fanatasy this year. Memphis Grizzlies - Grizz have managed to combine potentially 4 ballhogs into their starting 5. It is hard to imagine who is going to share in this street ball offense. If they do though, they have the talent to come close to an 8 seed. Northwest Portland Trail Blazers - Also a very deep team in the West. Miller was a solid addition. If Oden can stay on the floor they are my sleeper to win the West. Denver Nuggets - Acquiring Lawson was one of the better moves in the drafts imo, Denver will score plenty but will fall a round or 2 short again. Utah Jazz - If healthy they make the playoffs. If not they could potentially have two lottery picks and this years draft looks have different talented players. Oklahoma City Thunder - Quickly becoming one of the better starting 5s. Role player or two from being a real good team. Should make playoffs this year or next. Minnesota Timberwolves - I said it during the draft, Flynn will be the ROY. Flynn, Sessions, Love and Jefferson are some nice pieces to build around. Too bad Rubio is a prick. Pacific Los Angeles Lakers - Defending champs only added to their roster with Artest, favorites to win the West again. Golden State - This team is pretty dysfunctional with Jackson wanting to be traded and Ellis not wanting Curry in the same rotation as him. I feel they have a good starting 5 and the backups to help in a playoff push Phoenix - Running offense or no running offense, the Suns are no longer a top team in the West. Los Angeles Clippers - Griffin is the lone bright spot for them this year, err was. Gordon should keep improving. Sacramento - With the first pick in the draft, the Sacramento Kings. Evans should be the runner up for ROY. Also nice to see Omar Casspi getting to play. West: Should be a good battle for the 7 and 8 spots in the West. Los Angeles L San Antonio Portland Dallas Denver New Orleans Utah Oklahoma City Golden State Phoenix Houston Memphis Minnesota Los Angeles C Sacramento East Champ: Orlando (Only because I hate the Celtics) West Champ: San Antonio (Only because I hate the Lakers) NBA Champ: Orlando

QUOTE (Felix @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 12:08 AM) I love the Jazz, but that's pretty damn clear at this point. Deron really needs some help. On another note, the Wolves won today on a buzzerbeater. It was f***ing awesome. We aren't going to be good this year, but we're headed in the right direction for sure and it's going to be fun watching this team come together over the next few years. Watching this year's ROY is always exciting. They do have some nice young talent coming in the organization. I still don't get why Sessions was signed to sit on the bench, to me he should be starting. Thunder are a team I feel could sneak into the West playoff picture, of course they played the Kings the other day but they still looked good. That team is a couple role players off the bench from being real good. If Krstic is healthy they could surprise. Excited for the Bulls tonight. -

I'm real excited for Purdue to tip off its season. I still don't feel they can make a big run in the tourney because of their lack of down low players and their physical style but they have more experience. Who knows. Hummel needs to stay healthy. Byrd looks like a nice addition to the team judging from what I've watched in video clips. They look to have a strong recruiting class for next year. My early favorite to win the tourney is Kentucky, pretty sure that is just about everyone's favorite though. -

Bulls have a tough first month of basketball. SA @BOS @LAL DEN CLE @DEN @POR @UTA -
Need a big day from Cooley in the Soxtalk league, up 4. Hopefully Philly D lays an egg. 40 and a score would be nice Chris. Miles killed it in every league for me. Schaub also has been killing it for me. Been doing great in fantasy football this year. Pierre Thomas needs to start getting more work though.

Packers Win!!! Bring on the Vikings at home. Very winnable game, at home and they just played the very physical Steelers. Oh and... Embearassing

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 24, 2009 -> 01:32 AM) That's exactly what happened. And it's not known what happened to the kid after that. I haven't seen Saw 6 yet. I'm gonna go sometime next week. But I heard it's pretty f***ing good. And it's supposed to be the most sickening (from a gore standpoint) of them all. Can't wait. Most sickening is right. Saw it last night, they over did it with the gore imo. I was disappointed by this movie, idk if I can continue with them.

QUOTE (longshot7 @ Oct 23, 2009 -> 02:38 PM) Didn't we see Daniel's death in Saw 3? Last I remember is Amanda administered the antidote to him and he was placed in an oxygen cell. Idk if he was released or not, dont remember.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 23, 2009 -> 12:46 AM) Where my girl Steff at? Oh, Steff, if it's Halloween, IT MUST BE SAW! Oh, yes. No matter how many times I say they should just end it. I'm like a fat kid at a free buffet when a new one comes out. I have no idea what direction this one is going to go in. The last one was basically explaining how Hoffman and Jigsaw became a team. I really, really, really want to know what the f*** happened to Dr. Gordon. I can't wait. Hopefully a bunch of questions are answered in this one. What is in the box given to Jill? What happened to Dr. Gordon? What happened to Daniel Matthews (eric matthews son)? I still think Detective Tapp is still alive, I know he was shot in chest in saw 1, I still think he is alive and saves the day eventually. As for Erickson who called medics at end of saw 5, I'm sure he will be tested or killed but idk, curious how that end scene finishes. Tagline for saw 6 (Game comes full cirlce), interests me the most about this movie.

Loved my draft too. A healthy Marion should help my team go a long way.
-
Bump. DRAFTING IN HALF HOUR!!!
-
Favorite players are Kenny Tran and Mike Matusow. Hopefully Phil Ivey wins.
-
Lillibridge should not even be in the discussion as a utility player. He is awful. Give CJ a chance, no need to waste space with Brent.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Oct 21, 2009 -> 11:48 AM) Well, let's see in League 1, I have the most points (27 more than you) and yet you're 6-0 and I'm 2-4. It blows big time! Lol, yea that does suck, I think only twice teams have scored over 100 points on me, Ive been pretty fortunate matchup wise. But I have been scoring about 120 a week. I think I'll finally lose a matchup this week, not too fond of my matchups.
-
Is this the guy on their team that used to smear the eye black on his face lol?
-
Packers sign Ahman Green eh. Hopefully the guy has something left, sick of watching Wynn and Jackson's useless production when they spell Grant. This is definitely the week to find out vs. the Browns, if he can be any help at all in subbing in for Grant or receiving out of the backfield then he should help bolster the run game some. Adding him surely can't hurt what is already a terrible ground game.
-
One Hour till the Trade Deadline. Hoping GB moves Kampman, he doesn't really fit the system and Matthews has proved he can start and Bishop deserves playing time. Give me a safety or OL TT.
-
Man, in my main league, I love having the most f***ing points, 20 more than the next person and probably will be 2-4 after tonight's game. Did I mention I put up the most points this week and faced the only team capable of beating me. Oh, and I have faced the top scoring team 3 times. FML Here's hoping Vincent Jackson puts up less than 9 points. As a whole I really can't vent outside of this league. ChWRoCk2 > Soxtalk League

Go Purdue!!! Finally something to cheer about, "could" be the first time they beat a ranked team in a while. -
I really don't get this trade for the Bears, adds depth but they really didn't need it. They don't really need a defensive linemen imo. They have Ogunleye, Anderson, Brown already. Gaines has underachieved in Tampa and has continuous ankle problems I've heard. Seems to me the Bears are mortgaging their future getting rid of most of their top draft picks in these upcoming drafts. This draft is especially stocked with defensive linemen that I just don't see how this makes sense.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 01:30 PM) It's my pet peeve. I don't care what Orton's line is relative to Cutler's if Cutler is doing what he was expected to do when he was acquired. I really don't. edit: I thought you meant "stats" and not OL when you said "line" QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 02:13 PM) I agree, Ryan Clady is a beast Ahh shush, you both knew what I meant by line, (stats)
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 09:01 AM) Orton is not why the Broncos are 5-0 though. NO s***, YOU THINK. But you can't tell me the NFL doesn't look at that when selecting because there is no doubt in my mind they do. Orton's line is still better than Jay.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 08:17 AM) i barely recognize Orton in that pic without the neck beard Favre 2nd and AP 10th??? i already take no stock in this list cause its football retarded Orton should be higher up on that list imo, same with AP. Team records should be taken into stock a little more.
