  1. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Nov 5, 2009 -> 10:40 AM) Sox won't confirm the rumor = Legit. Sox deny the rumor = False. There is something here. Well.....I Guess they can add in Greinke.
  2. What is all this love about CJ? I particularly don't think much of him, if anything a role player off the bench of some sort. The minor league player love gets to be a tad ridiculous sometimes. Until they prove something I certainly don't want us plugging them into the lineup to start the season.
  3. Guess we should wait until it is reported on the White Sox homepage. I was never really a Getz fan but it does seem like it is too soon to give up on him, but like others said I think this would open the door for other moves.
  4. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Nov 4, 2009 -> 08:59 PM) draft a better defense Defense is always the position I put the least stock into when drafting and kickers. Both positions are inconsistent and people usually just end up picking up the first breakthrough player at each. For me GB seems to be underrated every year at team defense so I'll continually take them because they are usually a good source of turnovers and some sacks. Kickers I usually draft a kicker late that has a week 10 bye, Tynes has worked out well in most my leagues I'd say. Fwiw, Miles Austin and Vernon Davis have been great so far, quite possibly my best transactions ever.
  5. Interesting trade. Thank God Fields is gone, never was a fan of his. Getz also was just average to me, potentially a 2 hole hitter or 9 hitter but nothing I was overly thrilled about. Neither player I really am going to miss. I've always liked Teahen, he has shown he can hit for average in the majors, lets just hope he can do that consistently now. He definitely adds a lot of versatility. I'm guessing this means Ramirez might slide to 2B and Beckham to SS or perhaps Beckham to 2B and Ramirez to SS. Unless they think Nix is our 2B, I hope not. To me this opens up a spot in our infield at 3B or 2B.

    The Droid

I use Verizon and have never had a problem with it, no complaints whatsoever. Also, I have had just about every decent Motorola phone you can name and yes, all first generation phones have their bugs, what phone doesn't. What do you expect, it is basically a beta phone. When the Razr first came out I had many problems with it and then months later swapped it out for a newer version and it was perfect. Then I switched over to the Krazr and had minor problems but after phone updates it was fine. Even back in the day I had the pebl, which till this day I still love how it opens, least durable phone I've owned maybe besides the first gen. Razr. Then you have your older phones but those were fine, just bland. I have the Krave at the moment and it has been fine, one of Motorola's first touch phones. There are some minor things I don't like, screen gets in the way when I use the qwerty touch pad and it is a tad too sensitive. Finally nice to see that Motorola is selling phones with the latest technologies, see the Evoke, Cliq and Droid for examples. They kept coming out with phones that nobody wanted and it is about time they are delivering touch phones and sliders, phones people want at the moment.
  7. 81 Got all the NBA ones. For AL missed For NL missed Got all of the NFL ones. Butchered hockey, got the most recent three and 89 and 91.
  8. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 2, 2009 -> 03:05 PM) That was mostly because of Barbre's suckitude, hasn't he been benched? Barbre was Ogunleye's b**** for most of that game. Barbre has been better since that game, but yes Barbre definitely brought the O Line down to his level that first game. Spitz, Colledge and Barbre are the three problems on their offensive line. Green B A healthy Clifton in the lineup and Tauscher returning soon should improve the line some. Not to overlook the season but with an uncapped offseason I would hope Green Bay attacks the free agent market for once. They have I believe 15 million in cap room to do so.
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 1, 2009 -> 07:34 PM) I'm not sure if he was referring to the Bears or the Packers' O-line with that comment, but it really doesn't matter because they're both awful. I figured the Packers since the comment was while the game was running and there were about 5 sacks for the Vikes at the time. But yes, both lines are awful.
  10. Vikings won this division. Schedule is still too easy compared to Bears and Packers to give up the division lead.
  11. That should seal it. Terrible first half cost GB.
  12. Force a TO or keep them to a field goal somehow. Missed FG hurt.
  13. Ok ok, game is getting closer and GB is moving the ball better. Harvin keeps giving them great field position on the returns. Need a stop!
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 1, 2009 -> 06:06 PM) The oline is quite possibly the worse oline I've ever seen. It is terrible. Was a problem last year and they did nothing to fix it. Hopefully TT spends some money on offensive linemen in the offseason or drafts a player or two. The Vikings defensive line is still hard to stop regardless of whom you put out there. Edwards, Allen and the Williams wall is tough to stop. Pack are looking to break the sacks against record.
  15. Well....I tried being optimistic. Game Over. No one will beat the Vikes in this division.
  16. Thanks alot Jolly you stupid f***. You just put 7 on the board for them, hope your benched for couple drives.
  17. Bulls***, Cutlers arm was not going forward. Threw it backwards, lucky break.
  18. QUOTE (lord chas @ Oct 30, 2009 -> 08:38 PM) favre is going down Hopefully!! GO GB
  19. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Oct 30, 2009 -> 01:24 PM) I guess fans of the Fire can claim they are in the playoffs so they are the best talk in Chicago right now. Hey the Hawks may be the most interesting and up and coming team, but hockey is not in the same universe as basketball for the casual fan in Chicago. Now the hard core hockey fans are as diehard as they come, but it is a niche. I have many rabid sport fan friends, that can rattle off players and stat for NFL, NBA, MLB, franchises all day. Only about 25% of these can give you anything more then a couple guys throughout the NHL. These are sportnuts, the average casual fan is clueless about hockey at all. That is why endorsements and recognition in general is so little for NHL guys. The Chicago Fire has fans? I didn't even know they were in the playoffs or when a game is or anyone on their team. Can't even name one team in that league lol. But of course I'm not a soccer fan. I'm same way as your rabid sports fans, when it comes to NFL, NBA and MLB I can name players and stats and am knowledgeable but know next to nothing when it comes to hockey. I blame it on the fact that the Blackhawks were never really regularly televised, otherwise I might have gotten into it. I want them to win but never can get overly excited when they score.
  20. I think Halloween is a dumb Holiday. There, I said it. Parties are feasible but the rest can go.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 07:29 PM) ChWRock, you forget the double-double that Murphy will average for the Pacers this year. Lol Him going off the board in fantasy in the 2nd-3rd rd is too soon for my liking. He is a good player but I can't see him having another good year.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 11:08 PM) Impressive by the Bulls. Last year, they would of been up 14 with 9 minutes left and would of lost. No Ben Gordon to turn the ball over? I wasn't waiting for them to give the game up. The team looked a lot better defensively too. Of course Gordon was a liability defensively so it helps that he is gone. Should be a tough game against the Celtics tonight, lets prove we can beat them with KG
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 29, 2009 -> 08:55 PM) He's dropping shots and driving to the hoop now, 1 quarter is not enough time to judge someone. And I think i will have to offer a formal apology to Noah pretty soon, he picked up right where he left off last season. I'll never give an apology to Thomas regardless if he has a good season or not. Imo he should be coming off the bench and not starting. He can block but really that is about it.
  24. Only needed to see 1 quarter of Tyrus Thomas to remind me of why he is terrible and should not come back.
  25. Definitely Hester over Burleson. That is a really favorable matchup for him and the Bears usually feed on bad teams and I'm sure will put up 40 something points on the Browns. Devin should be apart of that somewhere. Burleson has a tough matchup vs. Dallas and Hasselbeck is too erratic at times to count on his WRs as decent options. Bradshaw is having ankle and foot problems and is seeing a specialist so idk if you would really want to rely on him, especially vs the Eagles defense. Beanie really isn't a great option but last week was a nice revelation for Wells owners. Yup, Hester and Wells.
