  1. Rooney's call on Konerko's 2-RBI single was awesome. You can listen to it at WhiteSox.com.
  2. Well, in 3 career at bats versus Prior, Rowand is 0 for 3 with a strikeout. It's a small sample size but maybe that's the reason.
  3. In any case, it gives Rowand a rest and gets another lefty bat in the lineup against Prior.
  4. No contending team would want to give that up. They would want to send us prospects for Frank.
  5. To give Rowand a break maybe? Rowand has been struggling at the plate lately, although Carl has as well.
  6. Pods in CF and Carl in LF? EDIT: Yep... http://rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/p...ort=MLB&id=6742
  7. Not to mention, what if either Everett or Dye get injured again? Who would we DH? Depth is important.
  8. Spend your time answering my last post...
  9. I don't see why people have a problem with B-Mac starting. They said El Duque will probably miss 2 starts and McCarthy is our best option for those 2 games (possibly more). Do people really want to see Felix Diaz or Arnie Munoz that badly?
  10. Good point, and if you recall, Frank has said that one of the reasons he is still playing is because he wants to win it all. You couldn't trade him and f*** him over like that when we have a great chance of a post-season berth after what he has done for and meant to the Sox organization.
  11. The falling through the ropes was pretty classic.
  12. I only watch them to see them lose.
  13. So a small payroll team like the A's is going to add Konerko and his $8.75 million salary (plus $500,000 if he is traded) and bench either Hatteberg (.359 career OBP) or Durazo (.382 career OBP)? LOL, GMAFB.
  14. It's looking dark out there right now but Weather.com says it will be nice for game-time.
  15. Way to change the topic. Why don't you respond to my previous post?
  16. Yeah, and he was looking into trading for a power-hitting outfielder like Mike Cameron or Reggie Sanders (which were the rumors), not a 1st baseman like Konerko. The rumor was that Beane was using Eric Byrnes as his bargaining chip. He would have needed to replace Byrnes with another outfielder. So where in f***'s sakes was Konerko going to play for the A's? They already have Hatteberg AND Durazo. There is no way in hell that Beane wanted Konerko. Damn, you have a thick skull.
  17. Ummm, maybe because he's never played there? Blind ignorance is thinking that 3-way trades are simple to work out with a team like the A's who already have Scott Hatteberg, Erubiel Durazo, and Daric Barton in the minors. :headshake
  18. KENNY IS A MORON. HE WOULDN'T TAKE MY CALLS WHEN I WAS TRYING TO ADVISE HIM ON A GREAT 3-WAY TRADE IDEA!
  19. YOU'RE WRONG! BEANE WOULD HAVE WANTED KONERKO! HE LOVES GUYS WITH A .344 CAREER OBP!
  20. Ahhh, the stupid 3-way trade theory again. HAHA!
  21. Why is the hell would the A's want Konerko when they already had Scott Hatteberg and Erubiel Durazo? Not to mention the fact that Konerko is not a "Beane-type" player. LOL, and your 2005 White Sox would be horrible. Everett at 1st base? Boy, you really are a stat-head.
  22. Our current DH's OBP is only .310. .333 > .310 And Frank's mere presence in the lineup would help our offense. I'm not trying to bash Everett here because I love the guy but Frank is a much better hitter, coming off of injury or not.
  23. Bingo! Why do you think Paulie has sucked so bad this season? no Frank = no protection in the lineup for Paulie
