Not really. Wood is always erratic and gives up runs in the 1st inning. It takes him a few innings to settle down and gain his control. Wood coming in for 1 inning = bad.

I'd rather have Blanco's weak bat in the lineup than Barrett's bat. I know Blanco has a great arm so Pods will have to be on the top of his game. But if Pods can steal on I-Rod, he should be fine running on Blanco.

Agreed, but I think Freddy will challenge him with the wind blowing in. Of course, Derek Lee is the one guy who could mash the ball through the wind.
