PBR is pretty good IMO. Add in the fact that it's only $11.99 for a 30-pack and how can you go wrong? I'd rather have a 30-pack of PBR over a 30-pack of Old Style anyday. -

Flubs' lineup per ESPN: 2B Jerry Hairston LF Todd Hollandsworth 1B Derek Lee RF Jeromy Burnitz 3B Aramis Ramirez CF Corey Patterson SS Neifi Perez C Henry Blanco P Greg Maddux I don't mind seeing Blanco in the lineup because he has no bat whatsoever but Podsednik needs to be geared up, Blanco has a great arm. That 7-8-9 in the order is a massive hole. -

30-pack of PBR? I just bought mine last night and it's chilling in the fridge. $11.99 at Jewel, you can't beat that. -

No worries. But would you really want to see Timo playing RF today, even with those good career numbers versus Maddux? I would fear another Ross Gload experience if Timo was starting in RF today. -

I think Zambrano will pitch on Saturday but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets reinjured or pulled early. I predict he gets those arm cramps again.

Hopefully, both McCarthy AND Frank will be playing for the Sox next season.

Yeah, it sucks that the Flubs have their 3 best pitchers going and we have, arguably, our 3 worst pitchers going. Oh well, just have to beat them anyways. By the way, you know you love Sweet Lew.

Agreed, I was just messing around. I think Dye will start after Ozzie saw what Gload did in RF at the Urinal last season. I don't think he will trust Timo to play RF after how bad he has looked there defensively this season. But I do think that Timo will be the first pinch hitter off the bench. -

And maybe Loaiza wasn't a fluke. He lost his cutter last season but maybe he found it again this season. He is pitching really well for the Nationals so far... Esteban Loaiza 9 starts 1-2 record 3.08 ERA 1.17 WHIP .236 BAA 61.1 IP 44 K 18 BB

Give it up for Reggie Miller
Jabroni replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I agreed that Miller was a great clutch shooter but am I making this stuff up? That leg kick to draw a foul is one of the things he was notorious for. Did you watch the game? He even shot a 3-pointer at the end of the game that was completely stuffed (all ball, mind you) and complained to the refs for a foul. Miller is one of the greatest pure shooters of all time but he has never played defense and he whined to the refs 24-7. It's not like I'm making this stuff up. I can respect his shooting ability and clutchness but I have always hated his cheap leg kick and constant whining to the refs. -

Pods. He has killed the Cubs over his short career. He had 9 SB versus the Cubs in 17 games last season. Scott Podsednik vs. Cubs (career stats) 31 games 120 AB .292 AVG .356 OBP .417 SLG .773 OPS 2 HR 6 RBI 12 BB 29 K 14 SB 4 CS 21 R Maddux is the perfect pitcher to steal on -- right-hander with slow delivery and offspeed stuff. -

Pulled these stats from a Flubs board... Noteworthy Matchups (Chicago White Sox) vs. Greg Maddux (righty): Timo Perez: 8 for 19 with 2 HR (.421) A.J. Pierzynski: 3 for 6 (.500) Aaron Rowand: 4 for 6 (.667) Willie Harris: 2 for 6 (.333) Paul Konerko: 2 for 4 Jermaine Dye: 1 for 3 The current White Sox are hitting .254 (35 for 138) vs. Maddux. Noteworthy Matchups (Chicago Cubs) vs. Freddy Garcia (righty): Ben Grieve: 6 for 27 with 1 HR (.222) Todd Hollandsworth: 4 for 11 (.364) The current Cubs are hitting .194 (21 for 108) vs. Garcia. Anyone have the feeling Timo will be starting in RF tomorrow? :puke -
Agreed. Dye is starting to hit and Carl is slumping. Also, defense is important in that little cavern in RF. Does anyone want to see the Ross Gload in RF experience at the Urinal all over again with Carl? No thanks.

Indeed. He perfected the stick the leg out jumper to draw the foul. So cheap.
