  1. Yep, it looks like the wind will be blowing in 13 - 14 mph at the Urinal. Okay, so Freddy is pitching away from the Cell, during the day, and the wind is blowing in. He has no excuses for f***ing up tomorrow's game. Those are the ideal conditions for his type of pitching and Freddy's splits (day game, away from the Cell) are in his favor, BIG TIME.
  2. Wait a second. I could be wrong. Weather.com records the wind as "From NE 14 mph." Does that mean that the wind is coming FROM the northeast at 14 mph? If so, that would mean that the wind is blowing IN at the Urinal during tomorrow's game.
  3. If there's a southwest wind off the lake, it's blowing in. Hopefully, it will be blowing in for Freddy. If the Cubs don't hit homers, they don't win. EDIT: f***balls. I just checked Weather.com and it says that the wind will be blowing out (northeast) 13 -14 mph during tomorrow's game. "Longball" Freddy better keep the damn ball down or it could get ugly.
  4. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=4049 Now, I don't know what the hell WXRL is but I think it's funny that the stat indicated that Hermanson is worth 4 times the entire Flubs' bullpen.
  5. "Crisp tore ligament in thumb sliding into base" http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2064053
  6. Agreed. Since they picked El Duque over Zambrano (which was stupid), I don't mind them picking Patterson over Rowand.
  7. What is with Busty's obsession with summer heat? First he says that black players can handle the heat better than white players which was proven to be completely wrong and now he says that the heat heals injuries. Is this guy smoking the same stuff that DJ is?
  8. Wow, for such a huge man he sure doesn't have big feet. I'm even a size 14 in Nike's.
  9. If anyone wants to email Ken Rosenthal and ask him if this rumor is true, here's his email: [email protected]
  10. Agreed. It's pitiful that Paulie can't learn to hit to RF. It's Iguchi's first friggin' year seeing MLB pitching and he hits to RF all day long. I lost a lot of respect for Paulie with that quote. If you can't hit to the opposite field, f***ing learn how to, just like Rowand said he had to learn how to bunt.
  11. Of course he is tradeable. Beane's whole game is dumping high salary guys for good prospects because he has a very small payroll. If we did trade for Chavez, it would be the end of Paulie in a White Sox uniform. But I'd rather have Chavez than Konerko.
  12. I doubt they would do that. Uribe is fine at 3rd base but I don't think they would go with a guy who isn't a "true 3rd baseman" for the rest of the season.
  13. Ummm, why? Rollins is a SS and we already have a damn good one. Uribe?
  14. Well, they suck right now but will probably be good in the future with their young talent. Maybe Beane wants to dump his contract so he can clear up some money for the future? Here's the thread from the MLB.com A's board... "Eric Chavez to the Whitesox?" http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/mb/message.asp...g=36586.1&ctx=0 Keep in mind it's a MLB.com board and they are filled with lying trolls.
  15. Crede, Dye, and Cotts! http://www.mlb4u.com/oak.html Hilarious!
  16. http://www.mlb4u.com/oak.html Maybe we can trade Dye back to the A's for Chavez.
  17. Agreed, it would probably take Crede, Anderson OR Sweeney (OBP guys that Beane loves), and a pitching prospect to net Eric Chavez, even with him in a Dye-like slump. I could definately see Beane shopping Chavez though. The A's aren't going anywhere this season and Beane could be looking to free up money for the future.
  18. The article didn't mention his running... http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...t=.jsp&c_id=cws What a stud. With Iguchi being able to go opposite field all the time and Frank doing the same, our offense could go on a tear. Frank needs to teach Paulie a friggin' lesson. :headshake
  19. I don't buy what a guy at an A's board says but if Rosenthal said it, I'd believe it. Rosenthal is about the only guy that has been spot on with his rumors.
  20. Barrett has actually been throwing out quite a few runners this season and Henry Blanco is a stud throwing guys out. Which is weird because Barrett was awful last season behind the plate. Hopefully, Pods will get on base often and test Barrett's arm.
  21. Wow, he is FAT. But if he can pitch, I could care less. Here's to Bobby Jenks, hopefully our closer of the future.
  22. Also, don't forget about the interleague games coming up. Bringing back Frank to pinch hit wouldn't be a complete waste but it may be better for him to get more at bats with the Knights and run and his ankle some more. I doubt he will every be playing 1st base for us this season or maybe ever again. It's just not worth the risk. He will be eligible to come back on June 6th after his 20 days of rehab but we will be at the start of two away interleague series at Colorado and San Diego. I'm betting that Frank's first game back will be on June 13th at home against the D-Backs.
  23. He must have joined the NFLPA? Jon Dowd. Yeah, I think they did that on purpose.
