Uribe isn't exactly lighting the world on fire right now. Regardless, I don't think he should ever be batting that high in the lineup. He just isn't a disciplined hitter and swings at almost everything.
-
We are currently winning the A.L. Central but I can still admit that Borchard sucks. I don't see what you are trying to get at. One thing has nothing to do with the other.
-
Wow, no Valenstache on there is an outrage. :headshake
-
Yep, we should have traded Borchard for a shiny bag of balls after his hot Spring Training. Also, the Bears just drafted Kyle Orton so Joe is screwed.
-
Borchard? LOL. He's hitting .190 for Charlotte with 8 walks and 48 strikeouts... http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...milb&pid=400021 He is garbage.
-
Well, you mentioned his hot streak and it brought back memories of all the Crede-supporters thinking that he could keep it up and that this would finally be the season he breaks out. Guess not... He is back to being Crediocre.
-
You didn't really think he was going to hit .300+ this season, did you?
-
http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...bufaaa_chraaa_1 It's good to see Felix Diaz is back to doing what he does best -- giving up the long ball.
-
Jermaine Dead is so bad he made me make a new sig. Oh, and Cruddy is back to his old self now. He is 1 for 17 in this homestand. :puke And I don't think Konerko can buy a hit, even with his $8 million dollar salary.

Pussy-whipped Doug Christie and his psycho wife can stay the hell away from the Bulls, thank you very much.

When the hell do we start worrying about Konerko??

I don't think we will ever see Frank playing 1st base again. Frank even said he won't be playing 1st base this season. -
It's pretty sad when we are discussing which player should be ridiculed more between Konerko or Dye.

The whole reason it's a risk is because if both of your catchers are in the same lineup and both of them get injured, you are screwed. Yes, it has a very slim chance of happening but it could happen. For example, A.J. could get pegged in the foot by a pitch (like he already has) and Widger could pull his groin (like Uribe did). You guys act like it's out of the realm of possibility. How many injuries did we have in that one week during the Oakland series? If Burke was on the roster over Kevin Walker, I would have no problem with it. -
Both should be criticized. They are both holes in our lineup. You could even be justified to rip on Dye more because he has also been a butcher in RF even though he's supposed to be good defensively. Either way, they're both sucking ass and aren't earning their respective salaries.
-
I already have my doubts. How many times does Dye take a first-pitch fastball right down the middle of the plate only to swing at a breaking ball in the dirt? I just can't believe some of the pitches he swings at. Instead of trying to drive a ball that's thrown right down the pipe he seems to always swing at low pitches that he can golf out of the park. Most of his homers have been golfed-out shots.
-
Watching Dye bat makes me wonder how he ever produced those career years in 1999, 2000, and 2001. How has he gotten so bad since then?
-
One of the reasons we were so horrible in the playoffs is because Tyson didn't show up to the games.

Cruddy has been getting a hit lately? Could've fooled me. I thought he was 1 for 17 on this homestand. -

2 dropped pop-ups and 2 balls rolling under his glove is enough to show me that Dead is dogging it in RF. If Dead keeps dogging it, I'm not so sure Everett would be that much of a downgrade defensively in RF.

In 15 innings pitched, Marte has given up 14 hits and 12 walks with 18 strikeouts. He has a 1.73 WHIP on the season. That's not good. Last week, a poster here tried to tell me that Marte has been pitching great and I just laughed. I said that Marte is ALWAYS pitching in trouble. Today he wasn't pitching in trouble, he just gave up a bomb. Either he has lost his control or the Cuban connection has rubbed off on him because he is walking far too many guys and giving up far too many hits.

That's exactly what I was thinking... CF Podsednik 2B Iguchi RF Rowand DH Frank LF Everett 1B Konerko C Pierzynski 3B Crede SS Uribe But then the problem is -- is Podsednik a defensive liability in CF?

I'm pretty sure Paulie has always done that lean back thing. I hate the bat on the shoulder move because it reminds me of that slug Cruddy.
