  1. Yeah, and when Cotts sucks again by putting the first batter he faces on base via a walk, hit, or HBP, I bet you won't be saying a word.
  2. If our offense doesn't light up Pedro Astacio, we have problems.
  3. I agree with you. I just don't think Ozzie feels comfortable playing Widger at 1st base. Actually, he has already said that he is going to let Paulie hit his way out of his slump. But if Choad was healthy, I think he would be getting a few starts right now.
  4. Agreed. The sad thing is that I think Frank and Giambi are good friends because they both have the same agent, Arn Tellum. Frank harbors no ill-will for Giambi, even though he basically stole another MVP award from him. The sick thing is that if Frank won the MVP in 2000, I think the rest of his contract would have been guaranteed and Reinsdorf would have never been able to pull that "diminished skills" clause bulls*** on him.
  5. Most teams usually have a backup 1st baseman. Right now we don't with Choad on the DL. It's a risk that Ozzie obviously does not want to take. Besides, a guy making $8 million dollars needs to break out of a slump one way or the other. How much can you bench a guy making $8 million and who hit 41 homers last season? I sure wish we had a healthy Choad right now.
  6. Agreed, this is the order of anger as far as position players go... 1.) Paulie 2.) Dye 3.) Crede At least Cruddy isn't making much money. Yep.
  7. Of course, he has. My point is that I wouldn't try to mock the moves of a manager whose team lost 90 games last season and looks to not be in contention this season either.
  8. Agreed. We need a healthy Choad so Paulie can think about all of his disgusting K's on the bench for a game or two.
  9. And the Tigers are 17-19 as well. I'm sure some of Alan Trammell's managerial moves had nothing to do with those 19 losses this season or the Tigers' 90 losses last season.
  10. But your opinion means everything, right? Sorry, but I'd take the opinion of Rooney and Farmer (whom I agree with) over yours.
  11. Send down Cotts or Walker and bring up Burke and I would be fine with the move.
  12. So we should do what the Tigers do? Yeah, they make great decisions including giving Magg$ a bazillion dollars when they really needed starting pitching. I hope we don't ever try to copy anything the Tigers do.
  13. I hope you are considering DH and not CF as the third position that Everett can play besides LF and RF. Everett's days as a CF'er are over. Anyways, is Ozzie thinking about playing Everett in RF or LF?
  14. If we brought up Burke, fine. But the risk is too high if you are only carrying 2 catchers. Even Rooney and Farmer said the same thing.
  15. Agreed, let him think about all those perfect strikes he takes right down the pipe.
  16. I said the same thing about his WHIP. There's no way that El Duque was going to keep going quality start after quality start with a WHIP as high as his. He gives up too many walks and hits and sooner or later they were going to come back and bite him in the ass.
  17. Great job on the wallpaper. It's a shame that Cruddy sucks.
  18. Cruddy is going to be back down to .240 in a week. Book it.
  19. How long are we going to say that? Until we are 27-20?
  20. Cruddy is awful. He is now 1 for 17 in this homestand. He is now batting .262. I just wanted to remind the Crede-supporters.
  21. Paulie is not worth $8 million dollars, not even close, even though that was a tough pitch.
