Agreed. The sad thing is that I think Frank and Giambi are good friends because they both have the same agent, Arn Tellum. Frank harbors no ill-will for Giambi, even though he basically stole another MVP award from him. The sick thing is that if Frank won the MVP in 2000, I think the rest of his contract would have been guaranteed and Reinsdorf would have never been able to pull that "diminished skills" clause bulls*** on him.

Most teams usually have a backup 1st baseman. Right now we don't with Choad on the DL. It's a risk that Ozzie obviously does not want to take. Besides, a guy making $8 million dollars needs to break out of a slump one way or the other. How much can you bench a guy making $8 million and who hit 41 homers last season? I sure wish we had a healthy Choad right now.

I said the same thing about his WHIP. There's no way that El Duque was going to keep going quality start after quality start with a WHIP as high as his. He gives up too many walks and hits and sooner or later they were going to come back and bite him in the ass.
