Why do you say that? Mackowiak isn't a stud or anything and the Pirates need a power-hitting outfielder. They could be the team that would take a flier on Borchard. Borchard and Willie for Mackowiak is not an unreasonable trade.

We finally have 6 guys that can start. Why would we want to trade Garland now? If El Duque or someone else in the rotation gets injured, we can just throw B-Mac in there. We need to trade Willie and/or Borchard for a 3rd baseman.

Politte sucks. Almost gives up another homer but it hits the wall for a long double. Whatever he throws seems to get hit hard.
