I think the same stuff that led to getting Taylor I could argue would apply to Schulz, who also lost his senior year to mono or something. And their belief in Colson came from his improved approach in his last handfull of high school games. They don't really seem to care about small sample sizes if they've showed a new ability.

i'm fine with all of them going. I don't think anyone who grew up in this org could possibly lead it anywhere but where they've been.

Costs are a bit inflated due to having to retrofit it into a 100 year old building, and since it is landlocked, ensure all that square footage also uses extra space for classrooms, etc. But regardless, yeah, to me $35M for a capital project seems kinda cheap

yeah but ... as opposed to what

javier magollon is really on a heater.
-
def, that's how trades work
-
he's loyal to the people close to him, and he purposely keeps those close to him as just rich friends and their sons.

Man, not gonna lie, that doesn't seem that expensive? We are looking at a $100M pool in Oak Park.

Fwiw it was mlb pipeline that seemed to really go overboard with the bat first stuff. Law was opposite, more positive on his defense (but raw in game calling due to lack of experience) and unsure his power was real.

hope he doesn't have mono

And I do think even if JR or Hahn didn't care, it's likely that an employee at the "runs daycare" level may just be enforcing a rule of "can only accept kids on a list". There's just a lot of scenarios here, and an unlikely one to me is the executives making sure these level of employees (scoreboard keeper, daycare provider) are enforcing their grievances.

Kiley McDaniel's 2023 midseason top 50 MLB prospects (Colson #2)
bmags replied to NCsoxfan's topic in FutureSox Board
This makes me nervous, as Kiley has been on the high side of all the most devastating sox picks. -
White Sox’s Romy Gonzalez Undergoes Labrum Surgery
bmags replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Sort of. Remillards been pretty consistent and also I can’t even remember him being injured. He has less outfield versatility though, and less power. Him being like the exact player he was in AAA is surprising, sorta, but it’s why I thought he should have been up instead of Sosa for spells last year. -
Oh man what a night. Really hope Mena becomes an impactful pitcher for us. He’s always stood out as so different. First his collection of breaking balls for strikes, now learning how to go deep into games. Now let’s get some of these college pitchers to show as much

$75M = One of the worst White Sox LF Seasons
bmags replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
something you don't see a lot anymore, that chart showing how many of Benintendi's hits would have been homers at GRF -
great game for javier magollon in DSL with a 2b and 3b. I always mix these guys up who are lower $$, but just a reminder on Magollon: badler The stats aren't even updated for today on milb yet, but according to my math he is slashing .306/.406/.523 with 6 HRs, 2 3Bs, 9 2Bs and a .217 iso So yeah, that power is pretty darn impressive at 17. Also only 26Ks to 27 BBs (which has not meant much as DSL have advanced) but at least not a free swinger showing up yet!

Most likely ... just small sample noise.

White Sox’s Romy Gonzalez Undergoes Labrum Surgery
bmags replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It sucks. Romy made huge leaps in a professional baseball career and worked hard on being versatile, but he's been extremely injury prone. So much timing and luck here. That said, he's going to be squeezed soon by guys that did similar things, he needed to establish himself and he didn't. -
Jeff Loria goes after Mark Buehrle, Jeter, others

It does make me think though, like, do we need to know every article that comes through our yahoo news rss feed? -

There is no way anyone is going to buy Jeffrey Lorias book right? Like the guy almost certainly self published. -
