I just think it is too ubiquitous to be a scouting issue. Yeah, they have drafted a lot of players like Collins/Burger/Sheets that were believed to be good enough offensively it papers over defense, and they seem to mak e that decision over and over, as we saw with Sheets in the Outfield. BUT - guys like Leury when we acquired had reputations as defensive whizzes. He was plus versatile but average at defense from the jump. I have zero confidence a sosa, rodriguez, ramos will come up and be plus defense, and they won't really try to improve them. The org just has no idea how to do anything so they are just kinda imitating the language and motions of teams that care and fire people that can't teach.

yeah, it pathetically ruined my day because I knew I went from getting to watch football on sundays to just doing some really top notch gardening each week. I've never really been a national-level sport follower for the main American ones, but I do enjoy with tennis/f1 how you can just kinda enjoy the show of the best talent in the world competing. Looking forward to hyping up this detroit OC when he becomes our coach with like...the texas qb and then failing in new and ridiculous ways.

The defensive abilities of sox players have been so bad for almost 15 years now. We have several examples now, with Semien and Narvaez, of players that were more naturally capable of better defense that this org couldn't tap into. We also have players like Castillo, who had a plus defensive skill that regressed on the sox. And we hired the player development guy and he thinks it's a player problem not a coaching one. I'm skeptical!

that was horrible. Gonna just move out of sports in general, just absolutely absurd how every year is the same with this org. Its boring, but theres no reason to be reasonable with the bears. There's no point. If the bears hire a coach, they hired the worst coach. If they drafted a qb, they will be bad. If they hire a gm, they will be bad. There is no other option, it will be like this forever.

I thought mahomes still looked pretty great, but imo is also a reminder that I can be optimistic about fields improving since he now has a receiver cast that isn't led by the chiefs former 3rd receiver, the packers former 5th receiver, etc. I think it makes their fight with chris jones understandable. I like New Haven style. Also the rhode island clam pizzas. I actually think truth be told I love all pizzas. Have extremely strong feelings once we enter frozen pizzas, where there is HRI and then you are better off getting $1 pizzas than any of the trash above it. But whether its detroit, tavern style, deep dish, new york, new haven, neopolitan, brazilian, japanese....i've loved it all. Didn't put down st louis, but its good. Yeah i'm a bit skeptical to say the least that being a starter is a return to health. I still buy doing it because he wants to, and we aren't doing s%*# anyways.

The pitchers perform badly at charlotte because they are garbage. Many of our pitchers that are bad in the big leagues but were good prospects did just fine in Charlotte.

I don’t think this team is good enough to try to do something and succeed at it, even if it was losing.
