  1. He looks the part. I think he's going to develop into an awesome shortstop.
  2. The only thing I think needs to stop is the "Are you prepared for " questions. Just prep him to see if he is prepared, don't ask if he is. Obviously he isn't. But my favorite was trump correcting the veteran that actually the statistic was worse, but Trump was in fact wrong and the veteran was right.
  3. Lauer was pretty good v. Tom Cruise tho
  4. I was surprised to see Lauer but these werent really debates.
  5. Lester Holt will be good and honestly Chris Wallace will be fine. Last night was a weird set-up, but in future debates Hillary can challenge and create the check. Honestly, I think media thinks regular folks are way stupider than they are. Nobody watched Trump say that s*** and think "wow that makes sense"
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 09:56 PM) Oh and here's Colin Powell telling Clinton how to set up her own private server, just like he did. https://mobile.twitter.com/mviser/status/773671095014596608 Edit: both of them were wrong to do it to avoid foia stuff, but Powell was actually even more deceptive about it. Weird how he hasn't faced multiple Congressional investigations and an FBI investigation over it, though. It's more helpful for context than anything else.
  7. Was hoping Delpo would take it. Still good to see him back.
  8. Jose is the best. Has kept head down in that insane clubhouse, always gracious.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 04:28 PM) DH's have really plummeted in value over the last five years. Don't tell the white sox.
  10. QUOTE (SCCWS @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 12:56 PM) Lawrie had a couple of bad years defensively playing 3rd. I think because he is hurt and had a mediocre year they are forced to bring him back at 2nd. To me, you hold lawrie and hope he has a lightning in bottle first half.
  11. FWIW, which ain't much, I see us as a "rebuild" more in vein of Tigers last year or Yankees this year. I really think one or two choice trades of near MLB talent get us there. The problem is being patient when we are still 1-2 years away and letting it happen, not just going hog wild as soon as you smell it coming together.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 07:00 PM) He said it without saying it. I am 100% certain. Mentioned pivot poins. Said there was one in 2007 and after 2012 and they got those wrong. Said if they did not rebuild after this year, with their contract situations, would have to after next. It I S going to happen. Brooks was there as well as said the g rate deal is worth a lot more than media reports. The public only sees a portion of th agreement. Said there is going to be an event next year with a bunch of bands g rate is subsidizing ticket prices Just reposting this for those who see it referenced but missed it.
  13. It's going to be really nice having Russ Feingold back.
  14. QUOTE (brett05 @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 11:21 AM) Perhaps I have misread it months ago. I'm open to that. Can you provide an unbiased link to the bill for me to review? https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/cou...65bc_story.html It was not just voter id, they also cut down early voting to prevent the Pews to the Polls where black churches would all go vote together on sunday.
  15. If he had so much time with the material you'd think they could review it to prevent innocent people from having their bank accounts revealed.
  16. His argument is basically that if the court rules on a liberal law, it is a liberal ruling unless the court throws it out.
  17. QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 09:00 AM) The year Lovie was fired, and the Bears went 10-6 but missed the playoffs was a microcosm of Lovie's entire time in Chicago. That team was good enough to be talked about and noticed, but came up short every time when it mattered. I will say though the stretch that we went 3-5 was pretty brutal schedule where every game we lost was to a pretty damn good team. The year before was more heartbreaking, after we beat the chargers they looked on fire, then Jay goes down and we saw how bad Hanie was. That broncos game will haunt my dreams forever.
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 06:27 PM) Like I said, I don't think Connor Barth is better. Maybe Gould has regressed that much during the off-season, but last year, Gould was better then Barth. I honestly think it's a wash. Gould had a very good last 3-4 games after he destroyed our season when it counted. It's possible with more time, Barth could have hit 3-4 kicks in a row and been better, or been way worse. BUt statistically his modest gains in kickoffs are an improvement over Gould, and his 2% worse accuracy was not too significant given number of kicks.
  19. I think they absolutely should regret not bringing in competition into camp. But Gould was definitely on downward trend and I think his missed PATs really did scare them. This isn't a "we're way better!" but our kickoffs are probably better and we'll need to get inside the 30 to score points.
  20. I hope Leury hits. He really would be the best bench piece.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 03:36 PM) Yeah, we have no idea what is up with that yet so I didn't include it. Just super odd timing. Defended Ailes, settlement comes, same day she resigns.
  22. Overvaluing youth, not necessarily QB. Valuing them so high means you are probably under to properly valuing QB. Lots of fine ones available. But Roethlisberger from a fantasy perspective is certainly better than all three of them. They are on Kirk Cousins tier.
  23. I stayed away. Not because I can't see a world where they succeed (Can very well), but putting eggs in Mike Mularkey putting together a good offense. If you win you can win big there, but honestly I'd rather bet on San Fran offense than his even though it has way less talent.
