    Rick Hahn

Jennings has been the glue to our pen. HIs ability to go every day and go 2 innings is very valuable.
  2. I cried after the first Sale trade idea does thread get any better?
  3. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 03:04 PM) Post Politics Eric Trump: My father gives ‘millions and millions and millions’ to charity Not sure how believable that claim is given that Trump claims some sort of middle income tax deduction worth a couple hundred but would forego millions in deductions here. eta well, aside from claiming that trump "likes to keep some anonymity" in the first place. That's the least believable deflection you could possibly come up with. Trump's entire bulls*** image being destroyed in the process of his campaign really is the icing on the cake. He will have a profitable cult like Ben Carson to bleed dry.
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 03:05 PM) Miami isn't Chicago. Weather in one place can be different than weather in another. Even if you flew a charter, you can have equipment issues, etc. It is one thing to blame the Bulls, but you have gone to this really sad extreme where everything and anything is there fault. The sky is blue...f***ing front office. If Wade was seriously considering the Bulls, he'd wait, and if he wasn't, nothing is really lost. s*** happens. No, I only blame them for their actions. You have possibly 1, maybe 2 meetings like this a year. Everyone is laughing at them for this. They are either lying and adding to their horrendous reputation with agents or telling the truth and look like imbeciles. This is a competitive free agent market and making your meetings is important. Saying your flight was delayed is hysterical. Don't get me wrong, I'm very pleased they were incompetent here, they are better for it. But this probably bumps showing up at the ohare terminal with benny the bull as most LOLworthy moments in Bulls history. J
  5. Rocking horse isn't very big, surprised how many guests will be there.
  6. Lillibridge was dope in June 2010 which may have been one of the more fun months in the 2010s.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 01:52 PM) I don't know if you are aware of this, but the vast majority of executives fly commercial (not sure why the Bulls wouldn't). I presume their team charter is handled by an airline as well (southwest or whomever). Now I'm sure, if things get delayed, they could try to set something else up (charter something), however, if it is weather issues, you could be screwed either way. If Wade waits around, we'll know he's potentially more serious (maybe this was more of the Bulls ploy and next we'll see a picture of Gar and Paxson riding a motorbike dumb and dumber style to New York!!! Yes, I'm sure they do fly to many things commercial. But when you have access to a private charter because you are part of a league that just handed out billions of dollars and have an important meeting where the likes of Pat Riley who shows up in helicopters on the beach and you have to call the recruit and be like "SORRY SOUTHWEST PUSHED BACK WE ARE TRYING TO GET A FREE VOUCHER WE MAY HAVE TO FLY TO TULSA FIRST WE REALLY VALUE YOU WEVE BEEN MAKING A POWRPOINT WHAT I CAN"T HEAR YOU WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING"
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 01:44 PM) Adrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA Sources: Bulls cancelled meeting, flight kept getting pushed back. If Wade is still serious, Chicago could travel to meet him on Thursday. LOL are they flying commercial?
  9. Pretty sure I won't be able to see any matches until the semis again. Have barely seen any tennis this year.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 12:33 PM) Guy was there for like a month. He was in Boston for years. I realize he annoyed Pierce and KG from time to time and there were plenty of rumors of potential trades, but he stayed a long time there and was an extremely good player for them. Carlisle and Rondo didn't mesh and they never even had like an off-season to gel /adjust or anything. Sometimes bad fits happen and Carlisle is suppose to be a notoriously difficult guy to work with (excellent coach, but if you don't see eye to eye, you are in trouble). I will not beat the dead horse that Rondo is bad because overwhelming evidence suggests that he is bad both on the court as a player and teammate. But, I can't let this stand. He was bad after the ACL in Boston, he was bad in Dallas and he was bad last year. He doesn't try on defense. He hits 50% from the free thrown. He is a bad shooter. He can't drive anymore. He's bad.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 12:20 PM) And like it or not, but in the east, this team will contend, so there is more to play for than there ever was in Sacremento. I agree with you, he has a lot of reasons to be on his best behavior. Than again, you'd have said the same thing last year too. Just like in dallas
  12. You're reading too much into that.
  13. You are reading too much into it.
  14. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:31 AM) Eh, Rondo led the league in assists with like 11.7 pg or something like that. Just get the ball to Butler and Wade. It would interesting nonetheless and fun on a game for sure. Please read this: http://hoopshype.com/2016/01/03/is-rajon-r...ping-the-kings/
  15. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:27 AM) But yada yada-ing doesn't necessarily mean he's a supporter of it or that he applauds it, which is what you are claiming. The people of the City of Chicago yada yada away the 10 people shot on a nightly basis. That doesn't mean we SUPPORT and APPLAUD it. No, that's not an analogy. Here's the analogy Rahm Emanuel: This year we have a some turf wars in gangs, this gang comes at this gang, that gang goes back, some innocent people get shot, people say hey that's bad, a gang will win, and it goes back to normal levels.
  16. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:21 AM) No, I think his actual point here is, again, look at me! Look at how I was right about it being stupid to be involved over there! I don't think he meant anything positive or negative about the gas comment. I think that's Trump being Trump, glossing over facts to make his "it's about me" point. He's had more than one speech in his life. Yesterday he praised Saddam for being tough on terror. He constantly says we aren't tough on terrorists. He praises Putin all the time. He praised Tiananmen Square. Those aren't all just isolated things you can't put together. So when in a speech in december he yada yadas the "oh he uses gas, they go crazy", it's not hard to figure out what the "they" is.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:00 AM) It hasn't happened yet. I'm still betting he winds up back in Miami. It doesn't even matter if he signs. It's that the Bulls front office think he would be a signing that would fit their strategy of building the bulls into a championship contender.
  18. K. I'm sure you are great at sarcasm too. "What, he said your cooking was great!"
  19. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:18 AM) I don't see anything there that indicates he's downplaying anything. That's you reading WAY too much into what he said. If you're going to say that he downplayed the use of chemical weapons, then just make a broader comment that he downplayed the terrible Iraq/Iran conflict. Neither are a fair reading of what he said in that quote given the point he was trying to convey, which is "i told you it was dumb to get involved in the middle east! I remember in English class all the brilliant kids saying we were reading too much into things. Those kids really got it.
  20. His overarching thesis is that the PC WORLD is soft on terrorists and continues to bring up these authoritarian governments that are great at it, so it's your footing to stand on that he is just a scholar telling everyone how the middle east works. If entering an unstable conflict with a side to create stabilization is a shortsighted act, then he supports President Obama's plan on Syria. Which is wird because he's the worst president, just terrible, we're losing in Syria, it's so bad, it's terrible.
  21. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 10:06 AM) IMO it's clear as day. He's using these teams for leverage with Miami. I'd be stunned if he left. Then again, I said I'd be stunned if Durant left OKC. Everyone knows he is using other teams as leverage, but after he got the 2 for 40 he was looking for from Miami he was still looking so for him to get more years/money from miami the threat has to appear to be credible.
  22. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:37 AM) He's not downplaying it, but he's also not "applauding" it either. That line can be read very neutrally. "Then they did this, then they did that..." You guys can't, but reasonable people can. Hey Mr. Literacy, analyze the gas part please. Would love the neutral reading of that.
  23. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:27 AM) I recall a lot of Democrats using that same logic when arguing about the Iraq War. Prove it then. Show me the dems applauding the sarin gas to stabilize the region.
  24. "He was reaching for gun" Know how this story ends.
  25. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 09:18 AM) Dude will be 35 and a half this time next summer. Pretty sure big time FAs aren't going to be wooed by Wade. If only Dirk hadn't re-signed!
