Also...I don't think the bulls have anymore money after Gasol/mirotic. So would need to be a trade. Still hoping for Burks but there is absolutely no smoke there. But Kirk! Kirk will be here don't worry.

As long as we keep posthummus.
-
Pierce signs for midlevel.

QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jul 13, 2014 -> 02:32 AM) Tony Snell was great. Watching Posthumos was funny. No kidding. Posthummus was maybe the most hilariously bad player I've seen.
-
Well game over. Snell was incredible. Bairstow defensively looks great. Doug looked pretty slow out of control and off. So hopefully he gets better. Rest were garbage save some PG from Canisius. He was dope as hell.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 13, 2014 -> 01:26 AM) Is this on TV? No I actually paid $5 for this crap. Watching thru NBA summer league app.

Mcd is rebounding just fine. Snell looksgreat. But one on one d for Doug is kinda rough.
-
Whoa delonte west sighting.

-

think he can get 30 before AS break? edit: I realize the question is asking people if they think he can hit a home run tomorrow, but I love this man and would love to see a big round number next to his name when announced.

QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 11:04 PM) Is Gasol a better defender than Boozer? Or tell me why is older Gasol a better option than Boozer? Come on, have you ever watched Gasol play? He is a beautiful passer, can hit an open shot, and has excellent post moves. Peak Gasol is when he's playing on spanish national team surrounded by shooters, ball goes into him and he dissects the defense apart. He was, was, unbelievable. HE's not great defensively but he's not horrendously stupid on rotations like Boozer.
-
QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 09:54 PM) So how did Bulls get Gasol? S&T ? Boozer still on the team? rumor is he'll sign for bulls straight up for 6.5 or get s&t for 9.5 using some bulls assets we don't know which ones.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 07:33 PM) I just don't see what a different GM could have done differently. I'm sure they covered every base in their 12 hour meeting or however long it was..Guess I'm just missing something, or maybe I'm too "close minded". For the last years we have been hearing that the conservative moves of the Bulls was because they wanted "flexibility" for major additions in the 2014 offseason. The 2014 plan was touted by KC Johnson. That's fine if you are going to do that. Going into the 2014 offseason Kevin Love and Carmelo Anthony may be available to switch teams. The Bulls made an unserious offer for Love, and then we were told were instead going to focus on Anthony. That's fine if you are going to do that. The Bulls entered the offseason with 2 first round draft picks and a possible amnesty for Carlos Boozer. Rather than try to spin the picks off as assets, they traded both for potential backup SF Doug McDermott, and took on 2 million in the process. They, knowing Anthony would already require a discount to sign at the BUlls, added salary and used their only other assets to draft Doug Mcdermott, unathletic non-secondballhandler. They then courted Anthony without offering any money, because they were so tramautized from trading Kirk Hinrich the first time, and did not bother actually opening any salary room for Anthony. He left Chicago without a max offer. Or any offer actually. He was told to trust Bulls management. They then had plan Bs, which did not involve Kevin Love, whom is now being aggressively targeted by other teams who don't overvalue their assets. Their plan involved a 34 year old powerforward/backupC. I love Gasol, but that was not what was holding bulls back. Meanwhile we'll probably re-sign kirk, call it an offseason. It's fine that they made all these moves to preserve the possibility to get Anthony in 2014, but they aren't just responsible for not getting Anthony. They are responsible for all the other moves they didn't make because they decided that free agency is the way for the bulls to add a superstar. And that they will try to add them not by opening up max space, but by convincing them tehy are a great fit. It sounds convincing, doesn't it? At least they can convince us all that it isn't their fault. It's the players.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 05:44 PM) How is it their fault this time? It seems like they did everything they could.. Melo is just greedy and likes losing I guess Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahagagahagagagagagagagagagahahahahahahahaha haha

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 12, 2014 -> 05:42 PM) T-mac Grant Hill Duncan Gasol (prime version) Kobe KG LeBron Wade Bosh Melo etc etc etc Bulls just cant close. Ever. Aren't you glad they gave away Korver for nothing for the opportunity to strike out on another free agency?
-
I love that the bulls early on decided to go after melo over love, took on salary and used both firsts, cleared zero salary before meeting with melo, then upon it being clear melo wasn't convinced a 10 mill per year salary was enough, decided 34 yr old Gasol was plan B. Your bulls management ladies and gentleman. Queue gar pax apologists "it's not their fault! They are only GMs, what power do they have?"
-
Also count me as disappointed that Nick Young is off market. He would have been fun.
-
I almost feel bad for Miami. They are going to be cap strapped/no draft picks/and 7-8 seed. Haha, actually I feel awesome! That's hilarious! hahahahah oh my god.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 10:31 PM) It wouldn't be pre-melo. It would be Phil telling Melo, we got Pau, now get over here and sign that deal. Note: Bulls didn't really screw the pooch. Timing of everything was that they couldn't do the Pau S&T until Melo was signed. Lakers still have caproom to do a Pau S&T, however, it really would limit anything else they really could do, so it all depends on what their off-season goal really is. I'm talking salary-cap wise. Isn't there still a caphold for melo for NYK? They either give him the MLE or they have 4 million. He isn't taking discount for that crap team.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 10:25 PM) What we really don't want is Pau announcing he is going to Knicks. They are still over cap right now, I don't see him going to knicks for MLE pre-Melo. I'm guessing OKC. Bulls really screwed the pooch with the Lin to LA developments. BUt we have an in on Hinrich.

Yeah, BAE is realistic, PGs have been getting paid. I'm hoping for Ramon Sessions.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 11, 2014 -> 10:11 PM) Eh, if Thompson was really pulled from the Warriors package the offers that the Wolves have received for Love have been trash. Despite Bennett being dreadful last year, I'd take that package over the rumored Faried and Wilson Chandler package from the Nuggets or an offer from Golden State that doesn't include Thompson. We suddenly find ourselves in the world where Taj is the best player listed. Chandler I like but injury problems galore. Faried, whatever. They need someone to play D for Pekovic.
