  1. I don't know, that was pretty shocking to me. I was in classes with football players a lot, it's not like it's out in the open behavior like this if it happens. I figured they'd mostly just not give a s***.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 05:13 PM) There was very little optimism about rookie Jimmy. He ended up looking okay in the playoffs when half the team was dead, but even then he looked pretty inept on the offensive end. I'm pretty sure scs787 was the only guy on the Jimmy bandwagon post-rookie season after seeing him play in summer league B.S. I'm pretty sure you posted Jimmy's PER after his first month and it was like 15.4. Then we stopped caring because that team had like 5 wings on it. SG/SF was way more stocked with jimmy's first year than Snells.
  3. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 03:15 PM) Like I said to them, I'll say to you. You say that now. In 10 years remember you were happy about this, because if you thought it was worse before, wait until the Republicans enter with THIS sort of power now. Alright, bud, mark my words: I'm more in favor of a functional government. You shouldn't the threat of a filibuster to bring nominations to a hault. And when democrats lead again, I'm going to be happy that we can fill government positions with people. And then I hope they hire 8 million czars and take everyones property.
  4. Let's just put it this way, it was way more shortsighted for dems to oppose filibuster in 06 than it is to ruin it now.
  5. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 03:03 PM) You're happier now. Wait until a party shift occurs. This is shortsighted. No it isn't. Because democrats acquiesce to Republicans anyway for their legislative wants. Democrats can't even get heads of departements up SIX YEARS LATER. And why? For no reason, and it isn't covered by media. Nobody seems to care, so at that point, yeah, majority rule.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) We wont know anything about Snell until next season. This is his Thibs redshirt season Even with Butler though you saw him step on the court and immediately do things well like rebounding and steals. We drafted 2 three point shooters that can't shoot threes. Hip Hip.. I went to bed after the first half thinking Rose was back, only to see he probably missed every single shot in 2nd half and... somehow only got to line once.
  7. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 02:55 PM) I'm not sure how good of an idea this is, though. When the day comes that the opposing party is in power, you won't be as happy about this. I think I'm happier after the last 20 years that you can play offense as opposed to smoltering defense.
  8. Team is very thin. Teague just is a lost cause. He can do 3/4s of a good basketball play but the last 1/4th he'll mess up so spectacularly it ruins the whole thing. Honestly, Mike James, just do it. Snell also, think that's a miss.
  9. Baylor will work itself out if they can get through this gauntlet. I'm rooting for em though. They get style points for beating the crap out of everyone. As for Alabama, they've put up a lot of clunkers. But stupid Nick Saban just doesn't lose big games.
  10. I think what's solidified Peyton for me is how he left Indy and completely remade the Broncos offense in his style once more. Obviously denver had loads of talent for him. But I just think if you take Brees, who really win-wise and numbers wise has been just as impressive, and put him without Sean Payton he is lesser (we have seen this). Peyton just dominates the personality of the team and forces it to be good. Edit: I forgot how good Brees was in second half of last year. I guess I agree I'd take Peyton, but Brees will be a close second at this point.
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 18, 2013 -> 12:43 AM) Started Brady this week and thank God, because Rivers only got 16 and I would've lost. Just need 23 from Tom tomorrow. Against Carolina's d? I'd be surprised. I have him too, but am expecting 12-14 standard scoring.
  12. That was such an awesome win today. I haven't thought much of this team. But there does seem to be a lot of buy in with this team and trestman. Might be that random hot team that gets into playoffs now that d has stabilized.
  13. The legend of "mic own" continues.
  14. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 17, 2013 -> 10:37 PM) you had to know that was a bad idea. Had more favorable match ups with rbs who haven't screwed me all year.
  15. Bears just look unprepared today. Tremendous throws by mic own so far thou.
  16. Dunn in the outfield. Dunn, in the outfield.
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 17, 2013 -> 06:43 PM) Moon Mullin speculates about whether this is a potential MNF do-over It's moving so fast, may not be more than an hour or so before it's gone. But man these storms are bad, stay safe everyone.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 17, 2013 -> 07:32 PM) Not sure. I assume the operators of the stadium will make recommendations to the referees/NFL overseers. I'm not sure if it would be good to get 70,000 people to leave the stadium and start driving around the suburbs either That's not what would happen. They would take the fans to the field museum to wait it out as well as use the parts of the stadium with cover.
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 17, 2013 -> 07:28 PM) My folks are in Central IL. Baseball-sized hail in Bloomington, tornadoes in Peoria. Several tornadoes sprinkled around other rural areas as well. Peoria TV station knocked off the air. I'm in logan square, I can't see more than a few feet outside. It's just a football game, who makes the call here? NFL or Chicago? Why take this risk?
  20. Storms starting to look bad here. Get people out of the stadium now.
  21. sigh, sat rice for first time. Didn't want to root for him.
  22. Luckiest play I've seen. So many things went. Right for auburn there.
  23. I don't know how u can overturn Murray td
  24. Come on back Georgia please
  25. maybe you should have bet the house...
