Ohhhh Sullinger was out. I was at a bar with it on. Kansas was still getting inside and getting good shots in the paint pretty easily though. Which worries me. -
i dont' think this will be the last head coaching job of sparano.

QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 07:22 PM) Lesser teams don't beat teams playing like GB, not when there is that much of a gap. They do indeed, see: NFL history.
-
QUOTE (HeGone33 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 06:15 PM) They were playing well, but there isn't one legitimate reason for anyone to believe they were going to beat the Packers..not one. Same goes for the rest of the NFC, doesn't matter what anyone is doing, they aren't going up to Green Bay and winning in the playoffs. So as a 49ers fan, I say thank God Derrick Rose is back...... dude, it's the nfl, lesser teams beat better teams all the time.

I'm not invested in them, but I'm a big fan of starbucks' new rollouts.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) It's just typical. To not even offer the 4 yrs/ $20 million we can to Jason Richardson is baffling. Whatever, in Rose I trust. I'm sure the Bulls are leery of getting in a situation where they put overpriced veterans around their star, can't pull it off, and wind up with D-Rose bolting to an instant contender (though, I don't feel that's in his blood, I have given up on trying to read athletes' desire to create their own legacy). The Bulls are in a very good financial situation. The one possible albatross contract they have in Boozer can be amnestied in a couple years (and will). They've made plays the last many times they've had the chance (LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Melo, Dwight)... all players are choosing other spots. I can't get mad at the Bulls for trying. I sort of get why Rip on a 2 year deal is more appealing than J-Rich on a 4 year deal. Sort of. However, make the damn offer, bc the MLE isn't going to break the bank one way or the other. It just sucks because we have these really good tradeable assets ready to use as a play for a superstar...but there doesn't seem to be a #2 that will come here. But maybe we will find our Gasol in the next few years. Maybe a Chicago boy. I just hope derrick will get the help around him, because it would suck if we are just the team that everyone beats to get to the finals.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 06:48 PM) I bet at the end of the movie, Batman finds out that he already killed Bane. But he doesn't like that his life no longer would have meaning, so he sets in motion an elaborate plan that will result in him killing Commissioner Gordon. I laughed.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 10:46 PM) I always thought this team could make a run at the Final Four with all the talented seniors, but that was with Laurence Bowers. I almost don't want people on the bandwagon yet. Let's beat Illinois first. I know you are trying to be realistic, but come on. We are mizzou fans, we don't get carried away. They look like a team that has played together for 4 years because they have (minus pressey's brilliance). They know where eachother are going to be. They know their limitations. They pass the ball like crazy. It's a fun COLLEGE basketball team. I'm going to enjoy it, no matter what. *To clarify, I'm saying you don't need to temper expectations. They are just a fun team to watch with a bunch of great people/players. -
Thaddeus Young 5 for 42 to sixers. I think that's fair'nuff.

QUOTE (VictoryMC98 @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 10:26 PM) Stop that! I like being able to get a seat after a game on my way home! Haha, no chance. People are still scared of that green line stop. The only people that go on it are going to oak park, i feel like.
-
QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) wish i had that option. i have to take the red line to the blue line and deal with the characters that get off at the jefferson park stop. whoa boy.. Transfer at clark/lake?
-
Melo to the knicks did not stink worse than lebron/bosh to miami. NYK had collected assets for a long time for moments like that.
-
You see fun stuff too. One time I saw a giant 300lb security guard holding a picnic basket with a kitten popping out of the lid. It was the best threatening/non-threatening combo i've ever seen.
-
I like taking the Green line stop and transferring. Less crowded and seems faster.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 08:10 PM) 7 dollars at the box office? WTF. Taxes are more than 7 dollars on a ticket. You are also not allowed to bring in food and drinks. Are you sneaking this in? You are allowed to take in a plastic bag with like, 2 waters and a bologna sandwich or something.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 08:46 PM) Not an exciting hire but I don't think it is a bad one either. The key is building a strong coaching staff around him which they should be able to do based on the money they were willing to pay for a head coach. Keep Koenning and bring in a good offensive coordinator and you have a solid foundation. With these types of coaches, the hard part is to remain patient. Gary Pinkel had a similar resume, and his first 4 years were pretty ho-hum. But he's built up quite a program, and has remained loyal because of it (and due to his age and that we paid him comparably). Love me some Pinkel. -
QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Dec 9, 2011 -> 07:33 PM) You can relate going to a game to pretty much anything you might "go out" for. Go to a movie and you have to spend $25 on a pair of tickets just to get in. Then another $20+ for popcorn and snacks. Go to a nice restaurant and have a couple of drinks with dinner and you'll probably spend $50+ What's the difference? They are indeed very similar. I suppose I could go to a nice restaurant quite often and order lettuce and water, and say I went to a nice restaurant. But instead I'll just cook at home for the majority of the time. That's the point. Indeed I don't do either of the things you mention terribly often, but when I do get to, I want to have more than just a basic level experience. But baseball games were not always such a luxury good.
