The org win loss records are a decent proxy for depth. That Charlotte/bham record is what it is because of the atrocious pitching depth in those teams.

Going into the year I liked the royals more than the tigers, which ended up being right but performed in a way that wasn't very interesting. That said, more and more of their position players are up, may give them some "finish this with some excitement for next year" juice.

Well Hahn is awful. Cashman has just a complicated case. His trades are usually quite strong, and they usually keep the right prospects. Their latam is good, but their drafting is so so. So that’s the stuff that’s stripped, albeit not entirely, from the unlimited budget. But he may very well be good at turning around the Sox roster quickly. His handling of the Yankees this offseason was creative. Hahn is just a rich boy.
