  1. The arguments against this are basically summarized as "it's unlikely to be a huge error, so it's not a big deal". The problem is it's another dumb mistake that showcases the incoherent operation Hahn is running. Is it going to end the white sox or lenyn sosa as we know it? Likely not. But if I was Rick Hahn, next to my 3 graduate degrees I'd hang up a white board that says "Days since last terrible decision" and I would really try to get a really big number up there. Then I'd graduate up a level to "consecutive days with a good decision". Because it's not just about preventing bad decisions, though that would be great. I think Hahn should really try to make good decisions. And maybe, after another 10 years on the job, Hahn can get to some great decisions.

    wouldn't call it clamoring.

And also yes it may mean nothing but better than him k'ing 40% of the time in dsl.
  4. They are trying to poach how to build organizational approaches, sox don't believe in that. They let coach dudes do their own coach stuff, and if they are nice they get a job for life.
  5. I mean I think sometimes hitting coaches get blamed for slumps. But I think the sox are largely executing menechinos style, but that style makes our slumps horrible because it makes scoring runs rely on 4 + hits in an inning, and sees a bunch of GIDPs and FC ruining runners in scoring position. If we were a power thirsty team and slumped it sucks but eventually we'll score in bunches. We've been getting games with lotsa hits and 4-5 runs.
  6. Really enjoying your posts on this @reiks12 The reason why I do blame menechino is I wouldn't say any of these guys had this profile coming up. Instead they had lots of power, or moderate power, too many Ks. For a lot, but not all. Now they are all high contact, high groundball, power diminished. Teamwide. Also didn't someone pull up the Marlins GB% under Menechino? I am sorry I stole it from you but it stuck in my mind indelibly. The Marlins were 1st in GB% every single year he was their hitting coach. 5 years! They were 27th in hard hit percentage in 2017 the year Stanton had like 58 home runs. This looks exactly like a Menechino team.
  7. gotcha. Unimpressed with Bamba's rebounding numbers as well.

Eesh, yeah hoped that had come down with the higher contact.
  9. I just struggle to see this as an approach problem. The inability to hit velocity really freaks me out with him, as does the not hitting the ball hard. He used to hit the ball hard even when he wasn't aggressive. In 2018, when he just watched strike 3 every at bat, he had a hard hit % of 44%. It's 33% this year. HIs avg exit velo was 91. It's 87.3 this year. So he's not that aggressive, but also he's not finding favorable pitches to crush anyway. He's not generating power for a guy as strong as he has been historically. They need to figure that out.
  10. Ah I see it was a Jake Fischer Report

    What is it in June?
  12. Suddenly everyone talking about Mo Bamba to bulls but I can’t find origin
  13. The angels aren't even making the playoffs man. They aren't even threatening.
  14. well the top team has a .630 win percentage not a .530 or whatever the twins is.
  15. Uh totally. The angels haven't made the playoffs since 2014. While the back half of the 90s was rough, we only didn't make the playoffs in 94 because of the strike, then we made the playoffs in 2000, then obviously a gap and then 2005. And keep in mind it is EASIER to make the playoffs than when Thomas was the sox star. The 2015 angels had 85 wins but since then have been below .500, not close to competitive. 91/92/96/03 the sox had winning records and were competitive. The angels have been an afterthought to the division fights every year for the last 7 seasons.
  16. I honestly don't think there is a worse situation than the angels. I know myself, and I know that it would seriously be hard for me to enjoy having the two greatest players on the planet because having slightly below .500 teams is the worst. And we always assumed ok if we just got better players we'll be good. What a mindfuck to have some of the greatest players in the game on your team, a high payroll, a completely different team than 5 years ago, and yet the same team nonetheless. They've tried completely different draft strategies in the meantime, and do have a better farm than 5 years ago, but still. It would really drain me, and what a terrible state when having Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani on your team and never getting a good run.

Sorry bud. It's going to feel like forever but promise it will just kinda evaporate. Your pediatrician should have some good tips based on if its around trouble staying asleep, getting to sleep, or discomfort. For calming my kids down to sleep, I always felt like walking and bouncing them gently got them to a sleep state quickest, but my wife always rocked and didn't like the walking. When they were really crying, I did this I found on a youtube one day but now I can't find. I swaddled them (while still possible), and laid them on their back onto my lap while I was sitting, with their heads toward my knee. Then I would have my hands gently on their front, and rock my knees side to side while I shushed. I don't know how clear that is in text but it was my go-to. A lot of this stuff is in here: This also won't help you for a few weeks, but we swore by this book. But we also may have just been lucky. https://www.amazon.com/Twelve-Hours-Sleep-Weeks-Step/dp/0525949593/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3GZH1D99VU8I3&keywords=12+weeks+of+sleep+by+12+weeks+old&qid=1656512769&sprefix=12+weeks+of+sleep+by+12+weeks+old%2Caps%2C65&sr=8-1 One thing that sucks is our infants always really calmed down in the rock 'n play chairs, which were inclined rockers. They have almost all been recalled. But I know last case scenario I'd also put mine in their car seat carrier and swing them back and forth in pretty wide swings. This stuff all worked on my kids. Then I watched my cousins baby and none of it worked lol. But they like motion, shushing, sucking, and you'll find the right combo for your kid.
  18. Watched some of the replay this morning. Seeing Ohtani and Trouts slashlines...for the good of the sport they should contract the angels and distribute those guys throughout the league (but within the southside of chicago exclusively). JR would probably opt out to avoid the salary.

  21. Just to add on, since the sox aren't concerned about winning, Remillard has been in the org since 2016, this would have been a cup of tea to a guy whose worked his ass off despite not being the most talented. He plays nearly every position except center. He was part of the 2016 championship Coastal Carolina team. But instead keep sosa on the bench for 3 games, lead off in 1. Just chefs kiss.
  22. hell Zach Remillard for a weekend is just as acceptable if you don't want to pull up Yolbert. He is versatile, old, and walks a lot. Absolutely zero reason to leapfrog Yolbert for only one weekend.
  23. If they were only going to use him for a weekend, there are guys in AAA who are older and more ready to burn an option on.
